------------------------
Morris Day stopped by for his first-ever interview with VladTV, where he spoke about meeting Prince in high school and joining his band. From there, Prince and Morris formed a friendship and later recorded the first Morris Day and The Time album with just the two of them before forming "The Time." Morris went on to speak about Prince and Micahel Jackson's competitive relationship and how Prince went to Michael to squash their beef. Elsewhere in the interview, Morris spoke about filming Purple Rain and how Rick James hated Prince, which you can hear more about above.

Morris Day came off like someone who's aged with grace! No bitterness. No negativity. Nothing but love for Prince. Kudos to Morris! You the man!

Morris Day is more classier than ever! He knows how to speak with dignity and he looks so clean, fresh and handsome. His music is so uplifting. I love Morris Day.

Morris Day really told it like it was. This is the only person in Prince's organization that told the exact truth without bad mouthing anyone. He is a classy stand up guy. I will buy his book. Thank you very much Mr. Day.

Kids...this is what a real musician and entertainer looks like.

Morris Day is a cool dude. Prince did him dirty on a few occasions and Morris never held any animosity towards him. This interview made Morris looked down to earth and level headed. He and Prince had a lifelong history in music and Morris was transparent about everything. It’s good to see Morris Day still doing well.

Just a few days after Prince's death, my daughter, a flight attendant, had gotten a Prince symbol tattoo on her ankle and when Morris Day was on her flight, as he was deplaning, she showed it to him and he hugged her and told her that it was REALLY COOL and he also took pics with them.... Such a warm and approachable man!

Vlad, man...we all love and miss Prince, but let's hear more from Morris Day! He's an accomplished artist and entertainer in his own right.

I'm 50. Always been a fan of The Time, Morris Day, Prince, Jellybean etc .. old school cats who could actually WRITE, SING, and play music. Real musicians. Morris a legend in the game. Thanks for the interview ... my man has aged well.
  • I am totally impressed with Morris Day. What a down to earth, humble appreciative guy. I have a new respect for him.
  • First time I heard a person say 'Clout' was by Morris Day in Graffiti Bridge. This man is everything.

Vlad ask Morris what was his greatest moment with Prince? - How about asking The Legendary Morris Day what was his greatest moment of HIS life and career

MORRIS DAY in purple rain trying to talk to Appollonia: "...either somebody put something in my drink or you the finest..." has got to be the coolest singular player moment in time!

I grew up jamming to his music . They had the late 70's - 1980's locked especially in the south . All you ever heard was Prince , Michael and The time with a splash of Roger Troutman , Gap band , Luther , Atlantic Starr , Midnight Starr , New Edition , Funkadelic and Stacey Lattisaw . Who ever heard the song " Magic man " ? The best time ever !!! 🎼😉
  • @LisaLisaAtl
I love how Morris has obviously been hurt by Prince, but Morris still speaks so very highly of Prince.
  • @oddmodd1
