Chaka Khan came through for her first-ever VladTV interview, which was conducted by Luenell. Chaka detailed her life story during her sit-down, including getting married at 17 so that she could sign a record contract, and joining the Chicago funk band Rufus, which kicked off her career in a major way. Chaka then spoke about her solo career and collaborating with some of the greatest artists of all time, including Prince, who Chaka said tricked her into meeting him at the studio for the first time. She also addressed how she gave Kanye permission to sample her famous song "Through the Fire," which she later regretted because of how he sped up her voice for the chorus on "Through the Wire." After watching this interview I just realized why I find Chaka Khan so attractive. She's so unpretentious and her aura is authentic as well as showing that vulnerable side, so attractive.. The calibre of which we won't see again .

You can definitely tell she didn’t have the same gospel background as her peers but you can definitely here the jazz influence in her voice.

One of the greatest women I have ever met . I spent time with her on a rainy day in London and she was so kind to me .She said at the time it was because I spoke to her like a person and I was genuine when all those around her weren’t . The shoot was amazing she shines from within.Her kids were lovely.About 2 weeks later I was about to cross the road at traffic lights and she shouted my name . I didn’t think that she would even remember me . It lifted my heart to this day. She is as beautiful as the day we met .Love her forever for being even better in person than she is vinyl.❤

This is the best damn interview and Lunell was the perfect person for this!! I need to see her interviewing more legends cause that’s a whole show! Chaka seems like that Aunt you can smoke with and she will teach you “how she got over”!

She's the best example of when people say "thank God, I don't look like what I've been through!" still very beautiful ESPECIALLY because she started hard drugs young. God did good by her; she's an example that He'll reach down WHEREVER you are & pull you out to save you & His grace & mercy over us when we're not making good decisions.

Sometimes I put this on in the background when I’m cleaning. It is comforting because I remember when I was little and had to go to bed early and I heard the sound of my mother and aunt talking in the living room. ☺️

I'm 62 now and I still think she has the most beautiful smile and face. The first time I saw her way back she took my breath away. I love her smile. Hands down the nicest in the world. What an incredible voice too. I'm a metal /hard rock guy but will stop to listen and watch her anytime. I feel for her...yuk yuk.
