I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best songs I've ever heard.
-
The 'Woo!' at 1:48 is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. This is wonderful.

The first time I heard this song, it was my daughter’s 21st birthday. We were at her house with masks on, instead of going to dinner as we’d originally planned. My older daughter was cutting off my 21yo’s waist-length hair, because she had just started chemotherapy for stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. My daughter’s boyfriend had this album playing in the background, and I tuned in after a little bit of 🌱, and he and I talked about the music and the cool screensaver on their TV, while I tried to forget worrying about my daughter battling cancer. She had her last treatment the day before Thanksgiving, and that weekend she moved to Salt Lake City with her boyfriend. Her last scan showed up clear! For Christmas they bought me a ticket to see The War on Drugs in Salt Lake this Feb. We’ve come full circle. This song means a lot to me, because I had it on repeat so much while she was going through chemotherapy. Sorry for the ramble. I get pretty sentimental after a little 🌱. May delete later if this ends up embarrassing

I can't concentrate on anything else when this song is playing. Unbelievable.
-
this is the kind of stuff that restores your faith in humanity

As far as 21st century rock music goes, you honestly won't here a better riff than this. It's roaring but emotional at the same time - so, so difficult to create something like this. An absolute masterpiece
-
I hear that Springsteen loud and clear, but it's like Bruce is playing with the Cure...love it!
-
Seeing them tomorrow night in Brisbane, Australia! My fifth time, lucky me!
-
Only 10 seconds in, and already I can tell ai'm gonna love this band
-
This is SO good. It's like Springsteen and The National blend together to an even more magnificent sound.
-
You can tell the boys are so into singing and recording this song and I f’n love it🔥
-
This song like a fresh water Like a mountain air So inspirational
-
Every time this track ends I say, right one more time and that's it! But just keep repeating it's addictive.

The first time I heard this song, I was a couple years out from the heartbreak of my life, and it reminded me of what it was like to be with them. Like we could run away at any moment. Like the city lights were poetic and depressing. A few years later, we saw each other again, and we both knew it would be the last time. Whenever I hear this song, I just remember that feeling of urgency in love that you can only have in youth, like this is it babe, this is all we have, let's run.

I listen to this song, usually when I feel like I made a breakthrough in something, and this song really embodies that feeling for me. When It's going through that chorus, I feel like there is limitless potential. If this is also your favorite song, ever, then you have greaaat taste!

Sometimes I worry that I can't discover anymore music that will have a profound effect on me. At least not like when I was a teenager and songs meant so much that hair stood on the back of my neck. But every once in a while I find one like this and it is truly beautiful. What a masterpiece.

I'd never heard of this band until I saw them on the TV at Glastonbury. I was mesmerised. I could listen to them for hours. Their music is so hypnotic and uplifting. This song is a masterpiece and will be played over and over and over.
-
whole album is roadtrip music

This is one of my favorite songs in the world. Every time I hear it, I just want to cry. When I was a little younger, I used to here this song with my dad. This song brings back many childhood memories.

One of the masterpieces of the decade and century. I mean the album and this song.
