She is truly a gift from God. Wow.
  • I'm not even religious but more artists need to perform in churches like this. The vibes are beautiful as fuck. Compared to some plain as club or venue lol

Whoever is singing along, their voice really compliments Adrianne's :,)

5:05 ever since I watched this video, I think back to the person who really commits to the role of saying "woo!" perfectly loud & clear

this video has become my favorite of the internet i think. everything about it just feels so human. adrianne taking her time to tune the guitar at the beginning. the little interactions between adrianne and the crowd, asking them to join her singing and the choral starting shy and slowing becoming this gorgeous unison of beautiful voices. sometimes she even lowers her voice to hear the crowd sing along the words of this gorgeous song. the panning on the location, just appreciating the place they're in right now. the person replicating the little "oh" at the ending of the song and everyone laughing. idk everything about this just feels like humans connecting through music, everyone having their own meaning for the words they're singing. i've always loved this song, it makes me feel like no other, but I was never able to put into words what made me love it so much. of couse it sounds beautiful, so grand but so intimate at the same time, the guitar strumming, the layers of ambient noise, adrianne's vocals so soothing but so powerful, and obviously the absolute genius of the lyrics, so simple but saying so much. but even with all of that, there was still this thing about the that just touched my heart so much and i didn't know exactly what it was. but i think this video gave me an answer, this song is the sound of human connection, the moments we share, the lives we live together, the memories that makes us being human beings. thank you so much for recording this beautiful portrait of human life and sharing it with the world ❤

The pan up to the ceiling was a nice touch. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a strong connection between an audience and an artist. I realize that comparing anyone to Joni is risky and fundamentally unfair but, jeez, it’s becoming more apt every day.
  • adrianne has the most interesting vibe ever. has to be one of the most beautiful souls of this generation

What a magical moment! I almost cried when the public started singing her lyrics. This feels like the kind of song which touches souls more deeply, like if everyone already knew it even before it was composed. I’m so grateful for all the artists and musicians out there sharing such beauty with the world. They are the channels through which the divine reaches our lives. What else can I say? Thank you!
  • 0:40 the way she transitions into the intro is just so beautiful. I know if I was there the anticipation would kill me.

this is so beautiful maybe im just emotional right now but listening to this made me burst into tears. hearing so many people connect and sing on such a deep level was so beautiful to see
  • Damn, didn't realize this was in open tuning. Wanted to learn to play, but hate tuning to open. Beautiful song. Reminds me so much of Elliott Smith, yet she's still has her own unique beautiful sound.

This is beautiful. It's beautiful because it's a lovely song, and because their voices really do sound good together. But it's also beautiful because I'm imagining how it must feel to be her - to have written a song that reached someone so completely that they memorized it and can sing it back to her. It would feel like you'd really done something with your song.
  • @gurtalurt
how does she make even tuning a guitar song like a work of art

I literally revisit this performance at least once a week & it never fails to serenade me & wash away my anxieties. Music is incredibly healing & community amplifies that thousandfold. Thank you for capturing this beautiful moment. She’s such a talented musician & blended so well with the crowd.
  • Aside from the beautiful voice and lyrics and playing, she seems like a really genuine, rare person. Obviously I don’t know her, but I watched an interview and she just seemed like such a thoughtful and gentle person, it really shines through in her music .

There were a couple of versions that I saw recently, where people were singing along. They were nice and all, but there was something as special about this one where you could just hear her voice along with a handful of other ones (I second the guy's voice sounding very complementary). Also dug the footage. It was nice to see the camera pan now and then to take in the church and the lighting effects - especially for those of us still cooped up from these lockdowns. Oh, and let's not forget getting to hear her tune her guitar in Open D/D# by ear, slap on the capo and casually pluck that beautiful lead-in
