Unique Fun in Northern Michigan | SkyBridge, Tunnel of Trees, Harbor Springs + More!
RV America Y'all

During the last 2 weeks, we've shared our visits to historic Petoskey Michigan and amazing Mackinac Island MI. But that's not all there is to do in the area! Northern Michigan has a long list of unique, interesting and fun places to explore.

In this video, we take you along as we cross the World's Longest Timber Towered Suspension Bridge, drive the famous Tower of Trees (the M-119 Scenic Heritage Drive) in the Spring, explore places to eat in Harbor Springs, Alanson and Moose Jaw, and stop in for ice cream at an original 1950s Dairy Queen!

All of the Northern Michigan things to do in this video are easy day trips from Petoskey MI. Everything we did here is 25 miles or less away from Petoskey.

During our stay in Northern Michigan, we just barely scratched the surface on all of the things to see and do. We can't wait to go back!

📍 Our basecamp for this trip to Northern Michigan was Hearthside Grove Luxury Motorcoach Resort. They are offering a Buy One Night, Get One Night Free Special (up to 5 nights FREE) for our viewers. Check out www.hearthsidegrove.com/rv-texas?utm_source=youtub… for the details.

🤠 Thanks For Watching!

We are Tom and Stacie Langland, known for 10 years as RV Texas Y'all.

We are Native Texans and Full-Time RVers who are all about exploring the Great State of Texas and America one campground at a time. We're on a mission to experience life, not just live it and we're bringing you along for the fun.

In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).

Every day is a new adventure, so join us as we RV America Y'all.

Safe Travels and Happy Camping!

  • Happy Sunday!! We had no idea when we were headed to Northern Michigan how many unique and interesting things we would find to do within 25 miles of our basecamp in Petoskey! And with all of the fun we had, we still barely scratched the surface. Please leave a comment to let us know what to see and do on our next visit to Northern Michigan. If you missed our Petoskey video, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/uKspfk-aF8Q
  • When you return to Michigan I’d recommend Sleeping Bear Dunes. Drive the Pierce Stocking Scenic drive. The views at stop 9 are incredible. While you’re there, head north to Leland and enjoy Fishtown. I love the sandwiches from the Cheese Shanty! In the UP, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi, Tahquamenon Falls. You could also stop at a bunch of cute towns along Lake Michigan. I want to get up to the Sky Bridge. Hopefully this fall. Great video! Love your excitement and appreciation of everything! Love your positivity!
  • Thanks for another wonderful video, that sandwich looked delish -
  • Hearthside Grove is only 4 miles from our house. I like watching tourists enjoy our area. Awesome, thanks y'all. New subscriber from Northern Michigan. Gurneys sandwiches are amazing, gurneys sauce 👌
  • Great video my friends! Love y'alls channel! Y'all have great information. We hope to RV full time when we retire.
  • Hey guys! Wow how neat. We took advantage of the BOGO offered at Hearthside & visiting late July. We want to check out that Skybridge! Tks for sharing! Marc & Phyllis
  • LOVE-LOVE-LOVE your Michigan videos! We have reservations for 26 days in Michigan this Fall (traveling from San Antonio), so your videos were really great to see and provided us with even MORE places to add to our MUST SEE list when there!
  • Great overview, of the tip of the mitt. You really need to see the area when we have leaves in full color in September/October. The tunnel of trees is incredible. We just completed a circle tour of Lake Michigan returning to Traverse City this afternoon. We have real leaves now and tons of tourists. Yes the season is upon us and the Cherry Festival (Traverse City Cherry Capitol) annual event is just weeks away. Safe Travels.
  • Great video! Given that is is almost 100° here in Texas, be thankful for the cooler temperatures. Wish I could go up there now, instead of in September. Did you get to try a pasty while you were there? I'm looking for some good places to try one. The bird you were hearing might be a White-throated Sparrow, but I'm not positive. It is a very handsome sparrow, and I look forward to seeing them here every winter.
  • Thank you so much for the content. My wife and I were looking for some things to do in Michigan. We have a big trip planned at the end of September
  • Ski lifts are better in summer... no SNOW!!! ❄ and 71º sure is a mite cooler than our 103º plus we've been getting in Texas! That Sky bridge looked very fun... but what was that gate thing at the beginning for? Is there a charge to cross? Well, all I can say is... very jealous! But retirement is just 38 days away! Be seeing you!
