  • Money makes people slaves. It pushes us to feel that it is ok to overpower others. He is a runaway slave. Love this guy. Keep running free man. One day we will be one with you.

Mr. Suelo is a philosopher confronting the insanity of our culture.
  • What I notice about the off grid people is that they are humble people.

A man living his ideals. Rare and beautiful. More power to him!

I have totally felt the same way all my life. It's so validating to hear someone speak what I have been feeling but couldn't put my finger on it. I dream of a world without money. Thank you!

This is one of the best videos on You Tube . After watching this I gave a 30 day notice at work and quit. I now live like I'm on a camping trip at my home next to the forest and I love it!

I really want to do this....not because I can't find a job, I am resourcefull, not because I can't afford my living, I can manage a low income with all the "luxury" benefits included (clothes, going out, a vacation once in a while). I want this life because this is living. I can barely accept the fact that the work I do revolves around money, buying and selling stuff to people that do the same. I feel this is certain death. You can't truly live those 8 hours a day you work for a company. You are dead. You don't see, smell, taste or interract with free will, you are "working" and live in your "spare time". 8 hours a day you are not living, therefore you could say you are dead

This man has truly understood the meaning of life and universe.

This man is going to outlive us materialistic bastards.

His mentality its very inspiring. Yes his choice and dedication would be extremely difficult to follow in this day and age but every point he has made is completely comprehensible. Society has trained us to perceive him as Looney beggar yet there is soo much truth in his philosophy. The planet belongs to all of us so it our choice as to how we spend our time here. When you die, will your contribution to this earth leave it better or worst?

    Thanks Daniel, you are brave and correct! I have made large amounts of money from very honest work but found the price for keeping it my very soul... so I too began to give it away. Then suddenly, people in the system disregarded me as unproductive and useless to them. I was a highly educated Ferrari mechanic, a business owner of a Hardwood flooring outfit, both jobs of which cost me great effort but I found the ROI in quality of life (peoples gratitude) aloof and empty; I went traveling the World. I am far richer in true experience than Bill Gates;

I'm confused by the society I live in I just don't have the guts it would take to walk out
  • @deanndu2374
He says it all as it is. However, by looking at some of the comments below, I doubt that many actually understand what he is trying to convey. Thank you, Daniel ! Namaste !

While we moved away from being a hunter and gatherer, and built "civilization" and saw ourselves as having progressed, in reality, nothing has progressed, nothing...
  • @mickmakle5698
I actually tried to live like him for 4 or 5 years it's a hard life, but that being said he is a wise man
  • @katelynkolb
People lived without money for thousands of years, and bartered and traded, even accepted gifts if it suited them. I don't know why everyone thinks this is such a novel concept.
  • @squatch545
Daniel Suelo makes me want to be a better person.
