the sight of a driver laid down directly on the track might be the most horrific thing to see... Even knowing he was still alive, Donnelly crash might be the scariest thing I've ever seen from F1

Some people are just build different. Imagine jumping out of your car to pull someone out of a flames inferno, setting yourself on fire in doing so, extinguishing yourself ONLY TO RETURN to rescue someones life. I wish I had half as much courage. A piece of metal is insufficient to describe this level of heroism.

You do a job in presenting the information in a respectful way. It can be hard to avoid sensationlism when looking for just the facts of "what happened". You did a good job
  • I met Mike Hailwood in New Zealand in the mid 1970s, he had one of his F1 cars on display and he was chatting and explaining aspects of the car to all who asked. A very amenable bloke.

When the algorithm showed me the first episode of this series, I almost didn't click on it. I was afraid it was going to be a sadistic gorefest, as so many videos with a similar theme can be. I am so glad I gave it a shot, because it was that amazing balance of brutal honesty in its imagery and total respect for the human beings at the center of those images. Episodes 2 and now 3 have kept up the great standard. I am looking forward to Episode 4! And, as someone who has, I confess, been more of a CART/IndyCar fan than F1, I really can't wait to see your piece on Alex Zanardi.

The sheer quality of this documentary is ASTOUNDING. The wait was well worth it, and I believe the quality is of such a high level that it could be something that I would see on Netflix, or Amazon Prime. Excellent work mate!

1:09:41 "Before you had barriers, you had trees." This single line, short as it is, and the clip of Jim Clark... yeah, that punched a hole in my heart. Phenomenal work on this third installment, but man, despite being a featuring of non-fatal crashes, some of these hit me really hard. I now understand why you said this would be a mix of episode 1 and episode 2, and the end result was worth every bit of patience. My favourite thing, and something that I paid attention to throughout the entirety of the premiere, is how you structured each of the crashes: 1) Giving the context and the background leading up to each crash (which, in some cases, helps lifting off the emotional baggage from a previous horrific crash). 2) Treating each of these crashes with profound respect for the people involved. 3) Narrating the aftermath of the crashes in a cathartic and emotional way, even when things didn't turn out for the better. I'm not sure if you have any writing background, but that kind of structure takes some serious skill to execute properly. And as much as this comment may look AI-generated; nah. It's just me talking out of my ass and trying to sound smart with big words. Anyway, great work on this episode Jack, and I shall be looking forward to the finale!
  • Genuinely have outdone yourself yet again. I’ve watched Grand Prix at least a dozen times so far and have never once noticed the spinning cars or Jackie Stewart’s crash scene being caught on footage. 10/10

One thing I like most about this series, is that it really shows the creator's love for the sport. As someone who's been watching F1 with great interest since I was 13 in 2006, I didn't know about several of these cases. And you show them to me in great detail, with a lot of passion and respect towards the drivers involved. Thanks for making these videos, I'm looking forward to episode 4.
  • @MrSaywutnow
Glad to hear you plan on covering Zanardi in detail. He truly is worthy of a documentary all on his own.

Wow. Truly a masterpiece, idk how to feel tho. Again a documentary who could easily be on tv. Or even in the fricking cinema. Its really well done and i can see the effort you put in there. The music all the pictures footage the storys the cutting, recording and writing a script, like huge respect. You really should be proud of yourself. Just thank you. I know Episode 4 will be the last one whats kinda sad. Because idk what happends after that. But i really hope there is more comming who goes in this direction. In a more calm melo direction. Because you are an absolute mastermind with thouse type of videos. With the scenes you picked and the mix from commentary, your commentary, than the engine noise and the music. Its just on a different level to 99% of YouTube and better than some productions from ppl who have a complete production team behind them and money without limit. Dude made me nearly tear up. I hope we get more from you in this direction because this is something who makes me personally happy? Or feel this feeling who isnt really happy its more like amazed and beatyfull, idk how to discribe it. I very rarely feel this way anymore so also thank you for that, like i said. It doesnt matter how many ppl see this video, it deserves more. Its as simple as that
  • @LoganHunter82
Martin Donnelly is one of those cases of "What could've been..." If he hadn't had that accident, he could've been at least a Grand Prix winner
  • @Jetfumejunkie
I’ve watched these over and over again since you released them. You have. Bright future my friend
  • Amazing work once again. Thank you for approaching this with such grace and sensitivity
  • @sotkajarvi

  • @Jasongilliar

  • @brondsterb9702
I'm blown away by how well presented this is, again its mental looking back upon how far F1 has come-Awesome look at its history and sadly crashes that have claimed many lives and near death experiences. Thank you- cannot wait for Episode 4
  • @DudeBasti
Brillant work, like always. It's so important that these incidents are not forgotten. And you do it so respectfully. Thank you very much for those amazing documentaries!
