Tens of thousands of mourners lined the ceremonial procession route as the Queen's coffin was carried to Wellington Arch.

Members of the Royal Family watched solemnly as her casket was lifted from the State Gun Carriage and placed on the State Hearse where it departed for Windsor.

It was the biggest honour of my life attending Her Majesty's funeral. I travelled from Liverpool to London alone on the train at 5.20am and the whole atmosphere in London was incredible, the many tributes on the facades of the buildings, it was a very patriotic moment and restored my faith in the British people. Everybody was so nice, there was respect from every religion from Christians to Orthodox Jews, to Sikhs and Muslims - we were all together in this deeply saddening moment, as we all should be forever. God bless HM The Queen
  • I've never seen anything like this. I could never see this monarchy getting abolished. From weddings to funeral... it's just a beautiful tradition. It brings an entire nation together.
  • Honestly Hollywood could not dream up such pageantry, the music, the uniforms, the tolling of Big Ben… just so moving and glorious. God bless the UK and her subjects.

  • I watched the entire 10 days and sobbed they whole way through. What a great loss. But, I remember how she loved the LORD, and how her last Christmas message proclaimed, "We will see our families again, we will meet again". Yes we will! We will meet the queen some day!

The BBC coverage using hundreds of cameras that was shared with all broadcasters was absolutely flawless for the funeral.
  • No country beats Great Britain in pageantry, but this is extraordinary. It is exceedingly glamorous and overwhelming. I just can not hold it today. May the soul of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II rest in enduring peace. She was an extraordinary noblewoman.
