  • @Prossdog
You literally just summed up the last 23 years of my life in 13 minutes
  • 15 years ago, I learned guitar to the stage 1, and pretty much stayed there ever since. However, just with that 'little' magic, my guitar has become my soul and made my life colorful. Not every journey has an end, but the view on the road is always amazing.
  • Seeing it laid out in these stages made me feel a lot less overwhelmed to pick up the guitar again! So much to learn, but this was reassuring and a reminder that we don't have to jump in and try and learn everything at once. Thank you!!
  • all this taught me is how much i dont know about my acoustic and how far i still need to go

You're not just a YouTuber. You're a screenwriter, filmmaker, and a cinematographer. Nice job, Weird-accent-guy. Edit: Guys please stop, he literally called himself that did y'all even watch the video?
  • I just started my journey of learning music and guitar and this is breathtaking. I am in awe at how much I have to learn but im so exicited!!
  • The wonder of a child, the wisdom of a sage. An open hearted, storytelling teacher who delivers with great style, humor and a cool accent. He's a wonder, that Paul Davids.

If I had the capability, I would nominate Paul Davids for Nobel Peace Prize.
  • Paul is a fantastic guitar player, but his communication skills are unmatched. This is how he inspires us to be better.
  • i am 15 years old, live in germany and play the guitar for more than 6 years now. I started with classical, then continued with electric guitar (as a great fan of RHCP). A few months ago i bought an accoustic and I love playing this fingerstyle blues stuff. I am about at stage 12 now and wanted to thank you for your videos! You taught me a lot of things like playing under the bridge „the right way“ and my first blues song: nobody knows you when youre down and out.
  • This is incredibly accurate! As a 29 year old who now makes a living playing traditional country songs (mostly in bars, mostly solo shows) this is almost exactly how my guitar progression went over the last 20 years. Love your videos Paul!
  • And here is me, self-taught, trying to playing nirvana songs on an old acoustic and still living my best life
  • This is probably the greatest add for playing guitar ever

I’ve been teaching myself acoustic for a few months now and this video blew my mind. Thanks for all these great videos!!!!
  • one of my favorite sounds in the world will always be the sound of fingertips brushing against the guitar strings. This video wasn't only true and entertaining, it was so sweet and nostalgic, even though it was my first time watching it. It took me through all the stages of my self-taught journey, and though I am at work right now, I can't wait to get home and pick up my Ibanez :)
  • This video format is genius, because no matter where you are in your acoustic guitar journey it likely catches up to you and goes from describing your past to providing suggestions for the future. So most beginners and intermediates can be included somehow.
  • this beard guy with accent really changed my style and expanded me as a musician and made me love the blues and now i am going to learn blues soon :)

I love it so much when I encounter a teacher/lecturer with a keen interest in their subject and a passion to share it with other like-minded individuals. When it is an interest that I too share, then that encounter becomes an inspiration and I thank you sincerely for providing that. Great job my friend. There’s a place for you in guitar players heaven.
