RIP Matthew Perry. Many of us feel like we lost an actual friend with your passing. You were loved by many and will never be forgotten.
  • Listening to this interview breaks my heart. Addiction can take anyone - He was blessed with so much, caring, intelligent, and good - looking. Life is so sad & imperfect. We keep looking for what we need, to fill the emptiness deep in our soul ~ Condolences to his family for their loss ~ God speed Matthew Perry ❤

He’s the definition of having everything but feeling like you have absolutely nothing.

RIP Matty. He fought the good fight for years and sometimes even the residual damage can be too much.

“This must be how normal people feel all the time”. As someone riddled with anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, I can relate to this feeling.

I read the book after Mathew’s passing. What a battle he fought. Mathew made us laugh and cry. I believe he was sober when he passed away, his body just couldn’t take it anymore. Rest in peace Mathew.

I'm Gen X, and vividly remember the Friends pilot episode. I knew right away it would be huge. Chandler was always my favorite "friend". Matthew is such a great actor, and seems to be such a kind, generous person. His openness about his addiction is going to help many people. Hope he continues to get well, and hope he knows he's appreciated and loved.

I have a certain level of respect for anyone successfully battling addiction. It's probably the hardest thing you could ever do in life.

He was so likable, charismatic and funny and seemed like such a sweetheart. I was always a fan. So sad he's gone. R.I.P. Matthew. 😢

Matthew, I hope you have now found the peace that you struggled so hard to find in life. Thank you for all the laughs. You will never be forgotten. 🙏❤️

He looks like a very gentle and kind human being. I hope he never relapses and can find some peace and happiness.

Wow. 55 a day. He really is lucky to be alive. I hope this book helps those who are going through what he went through and I hope he stays focused on his recovery.
  • I am so grateful to Mathew for sharing his story. Im so happy he is in a good place, and is willing to share his story. It is so sad that so many have the same disease, but don't have the resources to afford the treatments and help he has had. Most of them won't survive to tell the tale.
  • At 14, my addiction started. By 21, I was a full blown heroin addict. Countless rehabs, prison, recovery houses, overdoses etc. At 44, I have 4 years clean. But the demon is always around. Don't let it win! From one recovering addict to another Matthew, RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE!! Take life one second at a time and continue to do what you're doing....helping another addict get another day clean!
  • He is truly inspirational for sharing his story we lost so many stars from addiction .I pray we don’t ever lose Matthew
  • Wishing Matthew continuing fortitude in his battle against addiction. May he have honest, uplifting, and sober friends to help him stay sober, and to give him the added strength to help others trying to sober themselves up.
  • Had a huge crush on him. Addiction definitely took a lot from him. His speech, he looks so much different than he did. I wish him the best in his recovery.
  • I am a recovering addict!!!I am so glad this book is coming !!!Never been more excited 😆. Matthew Perry is an inspiration and also loved by America......God bless him and many more years of sobriety. . Peace of mind is priceless....

Wow. He was always my favorite as Chandler. Crazy knowing how much joy he brought to so many people, while fighting this inner battle the whole time. I appreciate his honesty!

Watching the show, one would never know - which is really pretty amazing he was able to have the fortitude to do the show at such a high level despite the addition pulling him down. I feel like almost everyone knows someone struggling with this disease. I hope the future holds better treatments because it truly is as horrific as cancer or any other disease that kills.
