In Rise of the Planet of the Apes, there a radio news clip that mentions a lost manned mission to Mars. This series perfectly sets up a full remake of the original.

My wife is a lifelong fan of this franchise. We watched all the new films this weekend in preparation but all we really had to do was watch this video.

I have a special place in my heart for the original Planet of the Apes. It was the last movie that my parents took me to. It was playing at a drive-in theater and my mom had poped a giant brown grocery bag full of popcorn for all of is to share. What a great night!

1st movie: begins in 2011, had a time skip of 3 years and another time skip of 5 year. So the movie ends on 2019 2nd movie: 10 years later, so 2029. 3rd movie: Only 2 years passed, so 2031 4th movie: 300 years, so 2331
