“you’re older” “by length of a sunset” such a cool line
  • @jaydeflayme2890
I love that they're not all just speaking perfect fluent English. It's stilted, slightly broken, punctuated with sign language and ape grunts. Seems like a logical evolution of how Caesar and his tribe were slowly starting to speak more English as the movies went on

The way Anaya faints after watching his best friend nearly fall is sending me.
  • @brucardi
The way this scene was set up felt like it could’ve been a main story quest for an open world game setting up the gameplay mechanics. Looked like a tutorial for platforming With a in game cutscene to immerse the player into the world.
  • @Yumbled
I love how every movie in this series starts with a hunt. Rise: Humans hunting apes Dawn: Apes hunting elk War: Humans (and apes) hunting apes

You can really see Wes Ball’s visual shots and his style of directing. He was a great pick as director to capture stunning shots like this for a big franchise

Seeing how the chimps domesticate the raptors (eagles, hawks, falcons) by taking their eggs to raise the chicks makes me wish for a sequel they do the same for Wolves in which the Apes take the pups and raise them as their own. It would give a whole new meaning for man's best friend seeing apes leading a pack of wolves into battle. 🐵🐺🦅

For those complaining, the movie is 2 hours and 25 min long. This ain’t spoiling anything
  • @DonnieTNJ
most people would have thought they were collecting them to eat but then what a pleasant surprise that they find out the apes practice falconry

One interesting little detail here is how the girl chimp (Soona?) scowls at the other guy chimp (Anaya?) after he excitedly snags an egg out of the nest, like she hoped he would’ve waited for the egg to sing to him.

I love that from the start of the movie, we get to see how smart and adaptive Noa is. Which plays well with the fact that he's not as strong as most other apes, but is still able to his surroundings and situation to his advantage.

I'm only watching a little bit of this as I want to go in as blind as possible, but I love how they still use a bit of sign language instead of being magically just as good at speech as humans
  • @miwhitty8316
Gosh I really loved this trio of friends. Noa is a really likeable protagonist ❤
  • @halfbee7886
I love the atmosphere of abandoned human-made structures that are taken over by nature and turn into forest in the post-apocalyptic world. Something about that type of view has a peaceful but wild, epic but calm, familiar but mythical vibe to it.
