Plutarch is probably the most important piece of the rebellion. He knows all along that Katniss will eventually turn on coin which is exactly what he wants. He knows that coin is corrupt just like snow but that he has to work with her for the rebellion.
  • I liked him. He was one of those characters that seem to understand Katnis's nature
  • What an amazing actor. Truly a rare, natural, actor and person in general. Such a shame he's no longer with us. He did great at becoming Plutarch!

Plutarch is one of those characters you sort of forget about, but he's actually a character that does a lot of important things. Thanks for making a video on him! Could I suggest a Primrose Everdeen video?

Plutarch is the embodiment of learning all the rules in order to break ‘em
  • I think it was phenomenal for Plutarch to believe in the cause of revolution from the beginning because he lived in the Capitol and was a game maker. All he had to do was to stay out of the conflict and continued his luxurious life. But there he was, doing everything he could to make this revolution work and he did. I think he was really good at observing people. He knew Katniss really well but also Coin. He wasn't surprised at all when Katniss killed Coin, like it was part of his plan all along.

Theory: Plutarch's parents are Hilarious Heavensbee and Lysistrata Vickers from TBOSBAS They both mentored tributes in the 10th hunger games, Lysistrata always felt sympathy for the tributes especially after Jessup jumped in to protect her from the arena explosion, she also hated having to watch the tributes killing eachother Her sympathy for the district's could've influenced Plutarchs decision to side with them in the 2nd rebellion
  • Something I wished they did in the “catching fire” movie was adding the bread that Plutarch gave to beetee because I feel like it was a kinda important bit like how much time they had left to escape idk I really wished they added that in the movie
  • What I loved about the movies is that in the end haymitch read the letter to katniss and supported her not plutarch.. it completes the circle of haymitch being her mentor and watching over her all the time
  • I love plutarch as a character, while reading the books and watching the movies I was always confused on whether I should trust him or not which made him very interesting
  • I like characters like Plutarch. They always are superinteresting and you never know what they might do/use next
  • I always got the feeling that he knew being a game maker was a temporary thing as they all end up like Seneca crane. He used the rebellion as an ultimate game maker challenge.
  • One of my favorite scenes in the hunger games EVER is after the war but before the epilogue and Peeta Katniss and Haymitch are eating together watching Paylor get sworn in and Haymitch said “ there’s Plutarch right in the middle! And they say no one ever wins the games.” Just that final bit! No one wins the games! squeals and chill bumps
  • Ive never seen anyone talk about this character, it's great your shining some light on him!
  • Haymitch also warned her to not go to the hospital, and Haymitch gave Katniss a lecture for not only taking off the earpiece but also going to the hospital and even threatened to get the doctors to put in a silver chip by her ear and she would have to listen to his voice 24/7.

I think it is quite funny he is named after a roman historian who altered his information depending on the narrative he wanted to tell, quite fitting for a man who is adapting things to his narratives
  • RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman (July 23, 1967 – February 2, 2014), age 46 You will be remembered as a legend
  • Plutarch reminds me a lot of Severus Snape I mean honestly like their stories are very similar, to people that nobody trusts, everyone thinks they’re on the bad side, nobody trust them, both the good side and the bad side are questioning whether they should be trusted, but in the end they both are on the good side, and fighting for the right reasons, now I don’t know if heavens be lost someone like Severus did, but their stories to me and to a friend of mine for a lot of friends of mine who are door potter heads and hunger games fans think that they are so much alike in many ways it’s not even funny
  • They had to cut out a few Plutarch things in the movie as the actor died. rip philip. Mockingjay part 1 was a memorial to him if you saw the "in memory of Philip" Edit- I feel so bad for Finnick. He died a few days after marriage with a one day honeymoon. Poor Annie became a widow at a REALLY young age
