Thanks Erik, that's a great one! On top of everything you mentioned (side-shifting I'm still working on so it becomes second nature) I can still remember the day my life changed, when my brain finally accepted to momentarily release the throttle when airbraking left or right. In the highest speed classes, the trickiest tracks will make your race look like a ping-pong game if you don't implement that. Sounds basic, but that's one of the differences with lower speed classes, where it is not (or less) necessary.

For those looking for personal coaching for free, my tournament organization is hosting a Wipeout Academy channel on discord, where you can post your gameplay to be critiqued by top players for feedback to improve!

I'll pick piranha cuz I got parking tickets and they'll never catch me!😂😂😂

Sorry for the self promo - I made a WipEout Omega video a couple years back called "wipeout tech roll spots". This video shows a lot of trick barrel roll spots that don't require turbos

This is definitely a very good explanation of things! Nicely done Erik! One thing I’d like to add though… sometimes steering more lightly and mastering that can result in higher speeds around turns and bends meaning faster times! Learning the best time to steer lightly and heavily alongside air braking can make a huge difference in times 😄
