As a U.S. Army Veteran (who suffers from PTSD), when I first heard this song a couple of years ago, I couldn't even begin to express in words how much this song touched me to my very core. I've shared this song with some of my closest friends, who have been suffering from PTSD due to active duty military service as well. This truly does bring a sense of comfort and peace during those unfortunate, unsettling, moments that PTSD can bring on. Thank you, for such an inspiring song.

I'm 63 and lost my wife of 27 years to cancer almost one year ago. This song and "Hold on to Memories" are my go to when I need a good cry. Thank you. Be well...and rock on!
  • This song literally saved me today...helped me feel like myself again after battling 2 years of depression after losing my first child...I stand behind music saving a soul. Never give up!
  • Currently going through very depressing times. came to hear this song. anyone else?
  • Just don't stop guys.. We are here (2022) listening your songs on repeat.. In our hardest time, in our struggle, in our failure.. This song provide the best response to ourselves.. A correct mindset when we're loosing it.. (Fan since 2017) Dropping this comment in hope that someone in future will like and that will remind me this amazing song...
  • This song saved my life. Never underestimate the power of music. Thank you for you music.
  • I never in my life expected to hear an uplifting metal song.
  • As soon as David became a father, he became mature... Old disturbed - ''I'm dropping plates to your ass'' Now - ''Sometimes the darkness, can show you the light''

I feel like this is an uplifting song. If you look at humanity as a world our greatest moments have been when we have been beaten down. The human spirit survives in the darkness of slavery, brutality, and everything that is thrown at us because we hold onto that light, that hope, that faith that burns inside us all.
  • This is pure genius. The guy that wrote this lyrics is a goddamn genius.

This song helped me through 2015-2016. My girlfriend dumped me to be a lesbian, my friends deserted me instead of being there to comfort me, and I also got kicked out of my band. I had a hard time, but this song helped me get through it all.

Currently going through some really heavy shit right now, this song couldn't have come up at a better time. Thank you Disturbed for everything.
  • Disturbed? Badass visuals? Subscribed as fuck.
  • I've loved Disturbed since I was in my early teens, and never stopped. This song crossed my spotify playlist today, and with the current state of the world with Corvid-19 running rampant just hearing this song gave me some more well needed hope that everyone affected by this horrible virus remains safe and well taken care of if the worst is to occur. I love everyone on the fact that we are all human beings, and I hope that every single one of you that even gives this comment a passing glance are well, that your family and friends are well, and that your spirits still remain strong in this darkest of times. <3
  • I know yall are probably not gonna see this, but thank you. I need to hear this. I started thinking about the lyrics. and it made me realize that im not alone, and than I have people to help me. I am going to survive this, no matter what happens, I will come out on top. Thank you disturbed, I dont know if I will ever find a way to pay you back, but I owe you one Edit: I did it, I fucking did it, I came out of it. All those cold sleepless nights are finally over, I can't thank you guys enough. To anyone else who is going through something: Just keep going, you will make it out. You are stronger than you think, if my dumbass can beat it then so can you, I know you can. Im proud of you, I really am. Its not easy to get through, and yet here you are, still standing. Keep going, you're gonna make it.
  • Even for this being just a lyric video, the visuals in it looked great.
  • Really moving. Disturbed help me find The Light. I was in sixth grade, and I was like super depressed because of my cat dying and bullying and social issues and stress and grades. I cried for five days straight, and when I listened to Disturbed, it made it all wash away which I'm SUPER grateful for. I'm doing much better at a new school, with friends, teachers who understand my problems, and medication. This song basically says to me, "Don't give up, it just wants you find it." I want to share that. Please don't give up, you have a lot of life ahead of you! Spend time with your friends! Family! Everyone!
  • The timing of when this song came into my life is absolutely mind blowing. I have been debating whether to become an EMT or not for months. 14 DEC 2015 was a night that changed my life. Traumatizing to say the least. I was lying in bed when I heard an accident out front of my house. I got dressed as quickly as possible to go help. What I came upon was heart wrenching. Long story short. A young man hit a woman and her kid head on. The kid didn't make it, we did the best we could to keep him alive to no avail. He died on scene. This moment has made me question if I received EMT training would the outcome be different? Would a young mother still have her young child to love? It ate at my soul to see this I love children, they are the treasure of life. However it has made me decide I will become an EMT and I WILL FOREVER do my best to try to prevent another tragedy like this on my watch. THIS SONG HAS HELPED ME OVERCOME THE TRAUMA AND GRIEF! THANK YOU DISTURBED!!

Like an unsung melody The truth is waiting there for you to find it It's not a blight, but a remedy A clear reminder of how it began Deep inside your memory Turned away as you struggled to find it You heard the call as you walked away A voice of calm from within the silence And for what seemed an eternity You're waiting, hoping it would call out again You heard the shadow reckoning Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded You held your guard as you walked away When you think all is forsaken Listen to me now (all is not forsaken) You need never feel broken again Sometimes darkness can show you the light An unforgivable tragedy The answer isn't' where you think you'd find it Prepare yourself for the reckoning For when your world seems to crumble again Don't be afraid, don't turn away You're the one who can redefine it Don't let hope become a memory Let the shadow permeate your mind and Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away So that the door can be opened again Within your darkest memories Lies the answer if you dare to find it Don't let hope become a memory When you think all is forsaken Listen to me now (all is not forsaken) You need never feel broken again Sometimes darkness can show you the light, beautiful Sickening, weakening Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul You need strengthening, toughening It takes an inner dark to rekindle the fire burning in you Ignite the fire within you When you think all is forsaken Listen to me now (all is not forsaken) You need never feel broken again Sometimes darkness can show you the light Don't ignore, listen to me now (all is not forsaken) You need never feel broken again Sometimes darkness Can show you the light
