This was the day the Sub-50 10K was achieved! Leading up to this race I had doubts about whether I could do it.

But having 2 of my favourite YouTubers ‪@BenIsRunning‬ and ‪@ColeRunning‬ with me made the experience much more enjoyable and the goal became achievable. I also ran into the amazing ‪@FordyRuns‬ before the race who shared some encouraging words with me.

I was also privileged to have the support of ‪@On-Running‬ who provided all my running kit and I ran in their latest release the Cloud Boom Echo 3.

I want to thank each one of you who take time to comment on my comment and share such encouraging thoughts and wished me well before this run.

It's actually mind-blowing that I met several people who watch this channel and knew about my goal and wished me well. A massive thank you to ‪@TheHutchRuns‬ for coaching me thus far and last but not least... Ben & Cole... I owe you big time!

👏🏼 Wholesome stuff this Aubrey! The bit about dedicating the last 3km to your family 🥹 well done on SUB 50!

Race vlogs get me crying more often then some of the best novels.

My 10k was 52:37 back in December. I watched this video today and got so inspired to try sub 52. I just finished with 49:45 bc of you. Thank you for inspiring and pushing me!
  • @FordyRuns
Good lad! Amazing team and an amazing effort bro! ❤
  • That's brilliant advice from Cole at 7:00. Back in 1989 I took about 2 minutes off my 10k PB thinking about my Mum who was dying of cancer at the time. I was mentally trying to transfer my energy to her. Straight after I crossed the finish line drove two hours to see her in hospital. Sadly, she passed away not long after, but she was very pleased to see her son genuinely happy for having achieved something and not just putting on a front for her. Wow, that made me tear up typing that.

LFGGGGGGGG. Was great to be a part of! I'm commenting before I've watched it... but ive got the popcorn!
  • I love everything about this. Ben and Cole with the stunning generous support. How hard you worked to get here. How other runners tagged onto the energy of you 3 and ran their best races too. So tempted to move to the UK because of how amazing the running community is!

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS VIDEO! Ben and Cole are obviously nice guys and so generous in their support. The expressions and pain on your face show so much real emotion - and obviously a bit of pain through those last 5k. I will be using Cole's advice for an 8K that I am doing this Saturday. Congratulations again on your race - I could not be happier for you!! Smashed it!
  • Pleasure to meet you and run with you. I’m still on a high for my PB. So heaven knows how you’re feeling. Massive congratulations and thanks again to you Ben and Cole. We smashed it!!

Congrats Aubrey. It's wonderful to see you finish sub 50; and motivation for me indeed. As a beginner at 56 I could complete Chennai 10K in 65 m only. This is an inspiration for people like me. Wishing you all the best for 2024!!!!
  • @Runningwithsean
I know Cole very well and seeing this support he’s put into you is amazing, I’m so happy you got your sub 50 there’s no one better to get it done!! 🤝
  • There are few things on the internet as heartwarming as this channel. Awesome job Aubrey, bring on a Sub 2:00 Half Marathon I believe in you
  • @icecreamforever
What I find inspirational and hugely motivating is that Aubrey doesn't have a runners physique and yet thats a pretty damn decent time. Respect!
  • Yes mate! Well done - fully deserved! - Ginger is running :)
  • @TheHutchRuns
What a brilliant video and it goes to show what can happen if you trust the process and believe in yourself Aubrey! Thanks to @BenIsRunning and @ColeRunning for pacing our man to a sub 50min 10k and there will be a third pacer for next year's half, the coach!
  • Couldn’t be happier for you! Ben and Cole smashed it too, Cole’s advice will be coming with me for my 5k pb attempt at the end of the month.
  • I only wish I had nits as good as the two you had, it can't be better than that, Congratulations and greetings from Venezuela
