This scene is when I knew I was gonna watch the rest of the series and put it into my top 5 favorite anime of all time.

The scene where Ichigo kicks the 3 vice-captain's assess and then blocks Byakuya is the best scene in anime ever! It's just ultracoolness to the max.

When ichigo throws Rukia to Renji is the funniest thing ever !😂

That drum roll into Ichigo destroying the sogyoku is pure badassery

Rukia: "My brother will kill you for sure this time!" The captains literally 1 second later: "God dam he different"

I'm the only one who loved how Shunsui helps Ukitake?

For everything that's come after this, this sequence (Rukia's rescue and Ichigo's fight with Bayakuya) remains one of, if not the best in the series. I think, anyway.

Ichigo: "I'm here to rescue you." Also Ichigo: throws Rukia like a football

When it comes to hand to hand combat he was still trained by his father who was a captain it comes off as goofy in the beginning but you then realize his father was giving his son a outlet to work through the loss of his mother in his goofy way he was teaching his son about survival

8:52 "I can feel ichigo's strength flowing into me" Just sounds dirty.

This bleach moment is the equivalent of Naruto arriving to fight pain. peak moments in anime history will always have you remember where you were when you first watched it

This is the moment Ichigo being the superior being came into feeling. His audience filled with lieutenants, Captains, & the Captain Commander were all in shock witnessing this stranger dominate those that have been honing their skills for decades to centuries. Aside from being the random person that Rukia just so happened to run into, Ichigo finally felt like a main character at this moment & later on with his rematch against Byakuya

Bleach and Naruto were 2 of the old school Animes that I watched the DAY they were released in Japan and subbed 😭 Words can’t express how hype me and my friends were when we saw ichigo pull up and stand up to Byakuya with his Bankai. That was straight up old school amazing anime vibes 😭

Id like to imagine just how screwed Ichigo wouldve been if it wasnt Byakuya that ran up to him, but Yamamoto 😂

If you never watched this on adult swim around midnight then you just wont understand how epic bleach really used to be. I remember sneaking downstairs to watch bleach late at night to catch every episode.

What I love so much about this isn’t the fact how he saved Rukia it’s the fact that he caught the lieutenant and captains off guard cause of how much they underestimated them calling them just ryoka and how moving forward in the story ichigo became a legend and a hero among the soul society to the point where ichogo thought they abandoned him when he no longer had his powers but was proved wrong when rukia kickstarted his powers again by running him through with the sword that all the captains put them power into showing just how much they respected him
