“And now under Shakira law, we invite Shakira’s hips to take the stand, as they are known to never lie.”

We all should want to live under "Shakira law"! That woman is absolutely beautiful and she's a great dancer!

James, go back and read Vance's book 'Hillybilly Elegy'. I'll point out just one issue it raises as an example of its threadbare content: he talks about 'Mountain Dew mouth' afflicting Appalachian citizens who drink too much sugary lemonade. The implication is that the people he is elegizing are ignorant and self destructive, no mention of the unaffordable cost of dental treatment - if it is at all available - or the 'right to work' policies the Republican led states inflict on working people. Poor wages, a lack of healthcare benefits, few environmental protections and suppression of unions.
  • Explaining JD Vance: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." - Lord Acton "The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil." - Paul
  • Trump loved the compliment and said i get the best praise no other president has had such high praise. covfefe

That “Shakira Law” call was pure comedy and tragic bilge!

I had a conversation with an American online where I could not convince him I had had a beer in a beer garden in Finsbury Park, where London's largest mosque is situated… They are totally brainwashed.

J.D. Vance has made this crazy political about turn because of money (donations), power (presidential), opportunism and he has watched Trump’s relentless campaign of lies, racism and conspiracy theories which has resulted in hardly any negative consequences. So, Vance is following the playbook.

American ignorance of the rest of the world is staggering. I remember reading an article about an American couple who visited Morocco in July and were utterly astonished when the 4th of July firework display they went up on to the hotel's roof to enjoy completely failed to happen. I think they even tried to complain to the hotel manager . . . it's just one example, but if Americans can book a holiday in a foreign country, get on a plane and fly across an ocean and land on another continent without realising they've left America - anything is possible!

When Trump gets voted in, if our labour government follows him on any foreign policy decision making I will be very disappointed 😂

What's wrong with JD Vance? There a long list but part of the problem is that he's a cu ... well, rather than get my comment deleted I just say that it's a word used in the UK fairly regularly that women in the US get very upset when it's used over here.

Most people do know would love to go and live in an Islamic country... They're also so popular as holiday destinations. Lol
  • @Sherluck93
Vance was playing the room like a comedian. But instead of being insightful he was being inciting.

J.D. Vance is taking a lesson from Trump and just saying outlandish lies. It has been proven Trump and can lie at will and it has no affects to his popularity. J. D. Vance is just doing what has worked for Trump over the last 50 years.

James, The bit that was said by JD was pure Russian propaganda to weaken NATO.
  • @hazeluzzell
The joke fell rather flat. I wouldn’t describe him as intellectual…I think an immoral liar is nearer the mark. He may once have been ‘bright as a button’, but alas, no more..
  • @onceuponadime978
I woyld feel too silly to be able to wear that get up king or not lol
