Disclaimer: I own nothing. Heroes of Olympus is copyrighted to Rick Riordan and Disney, The song Soldatino (Nico's Lullaby) was performed by Paola Bennet and these amazing artworks was made by Viria.

Don't mind me, I'm just feeling a bit too much masochistic tonight. It's just both tumblr and twitter suddenly gave me too much feel for Nico in one day and I just can't handle it.

First I heard this beautiful song by Paola Bennet that's inspired by Nico, and then I saw Viria's picture of drawning Nico, and then I saw the song had also been praised by Rick Riordan himself. So yeah ... I'm just going to put more pain in my heart by turning the song and art to a video.

To tell the truth I never thought that Paola Bennet will be that awesome, I mean I went to check all the song in her soundcloud (I put enough link in the end of this description so you better follow at least one of it hehehe) and like it instantly. She has such an amazing voice that can just grab people. I love it.

The artwork is my compilation of viria's Nico's pic. Don't get me wrong, I know there're a lot of fan-art of Nico in tumblr--and I've also been through viria's and minuiko's art-war(tumblr you share my feeltrip), but it's not in my habit of mixing somebodies artworks with another, it's just doesn't do the artists justice to just compile their hardwork with another artist work--it's just my conscience--I do love the idea of collaboration though ehehe, it's just eventhough some of the artstyle are similar, I still see it as a different work, and as much as I like a lot of artist, I still have to choose, and my choice fall on viria (mostly because I collect her artwork).

And no, I'll not tell you how I got the song, so don't ask. I'm not proud on my way of getting the song--and if the singer contact me to put this video down, I will. It's just this song is so beautiful that I want more and more people to listen to it and like it.

For people who asked whether or not this song was inspired by Bianca and Nico, the answer is Yes. Yes it is! The song creator does make this song based on their relationship.

Fact: The first time we see Nico, in the Titan's Curse, he's shuffling his Mythomagic cards while his sister Bianca scolds him. When he first appears in the next book, he's throwing those cards into the flames as he tries to find a way to bring Bianca back from the dead.

The saddest part is how perfectly it fits Nico tears of frustration at inability to hug poor little dark gay child

Let's take a second to think about his life. He was born into a marriageless family in Italy in the 1930s. He has adhd and dyslexia and is gay. He's a son of the god of the underworld but flew over the Atlantic Ocean to live in the United States. His mother was killed by Zeus, the leader of gods and the one who demands respect the most. His memory was wiped and he was forced to jump to a different time period. His sister died. He fell in love with a straight taken guy. He went through a war. He went undercover into a enemy camp knowing the risk of being killed. He went through Tartarus alone. He was forced to come out of the closet. He went through another war. And by the time all that ended, he was f**king 14.

Disney and Riordan need to contact Paola Bennet and pay her to have this song in the new series. If they can make Viria's artwork the official artwork (which they did) they can make this song Bianca and Nico's official song.

Okay but I had to say this. When we see Nico in the first book for the trials of Apollo Nico is fifteen. I am his age. You look at what he has been thru. He lost his mom at ten. He's pit into a hotel that slows down time only to be pulled out of it seventy years later and put into a different time zone. He loses his his sister at ten. Then he's seen trying to bring her back. He has has gone thru tartarus by himself he was captured by monsters and held in a jar. He was forced by cupid to admit that he is gay. He was the outcast at camp half blood for a long time. Oh and that one goddess that told him he was perfect because she couldn't make him any sadder. At that point Nico is in the depths of despair. That's not even half of what he has gone thru. Nico wasn't happy again until he started dating Will. Nico has been thru so much. And in only the span of five years. FIVE. This didn't even sink in until a couple of nights ago. He is fifteen. I am fifteen. I can empathize with Nico. But there are things I will never be able to comprehend about his past. This is why Nico is my favorite character. Because he is strong. Because he faced his inner demons alone and defeated many of them. He became happy again. He found Love. Again. And all of this he went thru in five years.
  • @ProxyGaming.
"Now a dark Prince But even for you there is light" Solace=Light in my language. Will Solace is Nico's saving grace, the light to his darkness.
  • From an Italian speaker: "la ragione per cui vivo" = The purpose of my life "la ragione ho vissuto" = The reason I lived
  • His mom singing this to him as a small child. She dies. Bianca singing this to him, when it's just the two of them left. ... She dies. ... And him singing this to Will as he falls asleep in his arms, Happy at last.
  • He was a little soldier, now he is a warrior A true man, a true friend, a true brother, and a true hero One of the best characters in RiordanUnivers
  • everyone: omg imagine will singing to him me: yall know hazel exists right
  • Imagine Bianca singing this as a ghost, every night Nico goes to sleep. And then in the morning, Nico hums it in front of her grave.
  • @sionnach9946
just imagine Nico singing this softly the night Percy tells him Bianca is dead ( remember the head cannon that Nico is the most amazing singer)
  • My next verse: Here we are, There's hope up ahead, A boy of the sun, And a ship full of friends. The bitter will fade, And hope will shine through, Yes there's hope, For me, and even for you
  • Nico is the best. I admire him more than Percy or Jason. The way he handled the loneliness, sadness and sorrow is admirable. Feels good when he finally accepted himself at the end of The Blood of Olympus.
  • For anybody who's wondering, "Ma Nico, mio caro" means "But Nico, my dear" in Italian. So to the PJO Fandom, I'm pretty sure this song was created JUST FOR NICO!
  • I am a 25 year old woman why am I still crying over this fictional gay emo boy
