I just love this depiction of Beetlejuice. The more traditional one comes across less like a demon and more like a ghost, looking corpse-y as he does. This one is way more reminiscent of an actual DEMON, who makes deals and tricks people into giving him power over them. And when you spell out his name the right way, Betelgeuse, like the star and mythologically etymologized name it sounds more like an old demon with a "b" name, liike Belial, Beelzebub, Baal or Baphomet.

I don't know why, but that last shot of her jumping off because she knows that she could do exactly what she needs as a ghost instead of just doing it to end her life is so aesthetically pleasing

The gleeful murder in her eyes is amazing, as is the part where she suddenly realizes she can have some sadistic fun with him, beetlejuices reactions are hilarious and the voices are amazing. Plus the possession part was creepily hilarious, and her sudden interest and subsequent outwitting of the demon is hilarious

Did you know I've watched this at least 300 times? Do you even realize how much i love this piece of art? How this animatic has changed my brain? Amazing.

I must say--I'm a retired film editor and frustrated animator (I can barely draw a stick figure) but I did, at least, do sound editing on one cartoon, the Mickey Mouse featurette THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER--but I've looked at several of these animatics on this song, and yours is the most creative and TRULY using the animated art form to enhance and propel the story. You use great poses, and WONDERFUL transitions and gags that really add enormously to the song and the whole spirit of the scene. You should really be hired by somebody!!! I hope and pray Disney and others will return to 2D hand-drawn animation and God, you're good!!
