Welcome to Verde Beach! Today we're going to lay the foundation for a brand new city using a (mostly) vanilla version of Cities:Skylines 2. The aim of this build is to naturally progress through gameplay while creating a detailed, natural, and well-planned city. All industries, modes of transportation, parks, unique buildings, and monuments will eventually be placed within Verde Beach.

I can see why you're doing this now, this is exactly the kind of ambitious city that's only possible because of the endless possibilities the extensive Beach Properties Pack opens up.
  • @DapperNurd
"We do have all the DLC installed" flashes the one asset pack lmao
  • That main park off the stroad was just beautiful! Chefs kiss! The detailing, the props, the difference it made... I'm speechless 😅
  • @CitiesByDiana
Also i love how this is an almost shot-for-shot remake of the original, solid sh*tpost 10/10
  • @theostrugaming
Phil building an April Fools prank intentionally bad city still comes out better than my actual attempts at building a city.
  • @ErnestSmurf
I know this is satire, I know what day it is. But it still hurts. I saw the notification and felt a fleeting happiness, till I remembered.
  • @Stant123
21:55 The cemetery didn't burn down, it was just converted to a crematorium.
  • @ReallyNoAlex
Landscaping while the city burns down, such a progressive and revolutionary city planning technique! Such thought provoking content today
  • @ZacharyNiebuhr
But for real, appreciate how you're able to simultaneously make fun of CS1, CS2, and yourself.
  • @twodollarstwenty
I can’t get the image of bodies sliding into the river out of my head
  • @ludvigholst4767
the fire in the background while you're placing trees everywhere lmao holy shit the city tour was actually the funniest thing ive seen in a while
  • @brianv61
All that passive aggressiveness... happy April fools day Phil! The convoy of fire trucks at the end was a perfect way to wrap it up.
  • @vulneratus5980
My guy just spent 24 minutes dunking on himself and I respect it. The cuts at CS2 game design were even better, though.
  • @rrodey2015
My favorite part of this video is that he's trying to be as imperfect as possible, but still is making minor changes to keep it clean. The amount of mental strength it must've taken.
  • @AwesometownUSA
don’t let “not very good” be the enemy of “good”
  • @Shaquille0624
You know what, since you want to play we need to make a new verde beach; for real this time.
  • @cmillivol98
Can't wait for this series!!! Haha wouldn't it be crazy if it was an April fools joke hahaha no way Phil would do that to us tho right
  • @strodey123
So much effort went into this and I applaud it.
