"It's just mashing X," they said. "It's a Disney game for dumb little babies," they said. CRANK IT UP TO 11!!!
A lot of the strategies shown in this video are a synthesis of my own methods and hundreds of posts or clips I’ve seen online over the past 5 or 6 years or so. In one instance, I pretty much had to resort to just using a strategy I saw in a video by WillJV2, linked below. This is all to say, there are a lot of people in the community who are much better and were much faster at figuring these things out, and I am standing on the shoulders of giants in this video.

Also sorry for getting quieter in like the last 30 minutes, if I'm being honest my voice started to go toward the end there lmao

If you enjoyed and you'd like to support the channel, I won't fight you on it!

    In order to make the chapter feature work on the timeline, I edited the description to include timecodes just for each world. If you're looking to jump to one specific encounter, here's each timestamp from the original description: 2:45 - Setup 3:44 - Destiny Islands Duels 7:27 - Darkside II 7:57 - Leon 8:56 - Guard Armor 10:43 - Power Wilds 11:00 - Sabor 12:24 - Clayton & Stealth Sneak 14:56 - Crank Tower 15:28 - Trickmaster 16:04 - Opposite Armor 16:23 - Agrabah Heartless 17:08 - Pot Centipede 18:22 - Cave of Wonders Guardian 20:02 - Jafar 20:19 - Genie Jafar 20:36 - Parasite Cage I 20:55 - Parasite Cage II 21:27 - Halloween Town Heartless 22:55 - Lock, Shock, & Barrel 23:52 - Oogie Boogie 24:37 - Oogie's Manor 26:24 - AntiSora 27:29 - Neverland Heartless 28:02 - Captain Hook 28:58 - Riku I 30:11 - Castle Climb I 31:09 - Maleficent 31:44 - Dragon Maleficent 33:20 - Atlantica Heartless 33:39 - Shark 33:56 - Ursula I 34:41 - Ursula II 35:53 - Coliseum Preliminaries 36:12 - Cerberus I 36:57 - Phil Cup 37:17 - Pegasus Cup 37:51 - Hercules Cup 39:23 - Riku II 40:33 - Castle Climb II 41:25 - Behemoth 41:43 - End of the World Heartless 42:36 - Chernabog 43:00 - Hades Cup 46:24 - Phantom 49:12 - Linked Worlds 51:54 - Ansem I 52:46 - Darkside III 53:24 - Ansem II 55:45 - World of Chaos I 57:51 - Shadow Room Core 58:07 - Artillery 58:34 - Darkball Room Core 58:54 - Face 59:24 - Invisible Room Core 59:40 - World of Chaos II 1:00:13 - Kurt Zisa 1:01:37 - Ice Titan 1:06:18 - Unknown 1:10:14 - Sephiroth
  • I really love that each choice of weapon in Dive to the Heart gives you a little something extra for picking it. - Power of the Mystic gives you another MP Bar - Power of the Guardian gives you another Item Slot - Power of the Warrior gives you another reason to choose the other two

I love the fact that you mix comedy in with your video, most good players are just dull. You deserve more credit!
  • @APrime25
That moment you spend an entire afternoon just to beat the destiny beach trio on lvl 1, only to feel that it wasn’t even worth it...

RegularPat: “So here’s the deal: We’re gonna kill Peter Pan.” Captain Hook: “…go on…”
  • @Kendel925
FYI, Stop upgrades don't enhance it's duration time, only MP does. Stopra and Stopga only increase its range
  • @WillJV2
well done and thanks for the shout out!

Just in case it isn’t mentioned in the comments here. So long as you have the fully leveled Areo spell, if you ever get hit by the ‘Submit’ move from the guardian cast it on your self and you are completely invulnerable to it. It also auto deflects the changing rush move Ansem pulls off. Basically, fully upgraded Areo trivializes 2nd Ansem.

Another tip for the baton boy from wonderland: You can cast blizzard on the grill below the stove to stop him from lighting his batons.

It's actually possible to run out of range of the very first fight, activating EXP Zero soon enough that Goofy also stays at level one.
  • @steelseraph7413
25:00 There is a strategy to greatly mitigate the pain of Oogie's Manor Fight. You can target the dark orbs and use triangle to sic your allies on them and they will take it down to 1 HP without breaking them.
  • @George930
Fun fact, for the the trio fight on Destiny Islands, if you switch target before parrying Wakka’s ball, you deflect the ball at either Selphie or Tidus. Figured this out very late on but gotta admit, its fun as fuck pelting them all with Wakkas ball lolol

Steve Harvey's Angels as Sephiroth's attack sounds scary as hell.
  • @Cronnicossy
Dude, you're a saint. It takes time to make something like this just to help people, and I respect the shit out of that.
  • @NishaPerson
I don't have any plans to do a Level 1 run of KH1, but I've watched this video multiple times. The way you talk is just, so perfect to listen too. One of the best vids on the platform.
  • @mikahhosang2606
This is one of the most amazing things ive stumbled on in the kh lvl 1 community!! Wow brings new life to the game i will definitely be following your guide in the future!! Very throughout and easy to follow. Doing gods work
  • @Drachendrac
Dude, you did amazing work here. I beat ansem yesterday, thanks to your guide. It helped me a lot in this challenge

Just here to give two pieces of advice I found during my own level 1 run that may help some people. First: During the Ursula fight, don’t actually spam magic at the cauldron. Apparently there’s a time frame that prevents magic from working on it in quick succession. So cast fire or blizzard once, dodge Ursula and the eels for a few seconds, then cast magic again. This makes it more consistent to blow up the cauldron and will save you a lot of MP. Second (the big one): Ansem-Riku gave me so much trouble, I started looking up strategies to beat him. Found a video by sonicshadowsilver2 that casts magic on him which makes him use dark firaga. You can actually deflect this at him for damage. Riku will retaliate and you can dodge then cast fire again to repeat the process. Knowing this I went through the entire fight repeating this cycle, using Ars Arcanum when I’m at about 3MP (does more hits than however much magic I could use), popping an elixir, then repeating. You can also trade out Ars for Sonic Blade to save MP for cure but Ars gets more hits in so pick your poison there. It takes forever, but you can get through the whole fight - even phase 2 - by repeating this. You’ll get sick of Riku saying “Foolish Boy,” but it can get you through quite a bit if you’re struggling, especially if you have as much magic as you can get by that point. Just keep in mind to not do anything while he’s blocking, you can get a few combos when he powers up to get a bit more magic use, and you still have to learn to dodge his attacks (but at least you have more space to dodge them with this).

Clayton is so unfair. They really expect you to fight a gun with a key sword.... I just....
