The Story behind the song: I graduated in 1982 when a new style of music called "Rap/HipHop" was taking root. Many of us from the Classic Rock era thought it was riduculous and called Rap, crap because their was no melody line. Who talks through a song and calls it music? We thought it would fade away. Well today HipHop/Rap is mainstream music. When my sons were teenagers, I decided to take a shot at writing "Christian Rap" as a way to communicate with them. They listened and laughed....as I rapped and even walked with a cool limp trying to play gangsta living in the suberbs of Cambridge. The things we do for our children...lol
