Das ist die beste Beethoven Symphonie. Wer sie nicht mag ist am Leben vorbeigeflogen.

My god this orchestra is astonishingly good! I love how the players look at each other and smile. What an exceptional ensemble.

I cried during the applause. They were rightfully proud of a rousing performance!! They played so clean and well organized in that brisk 4th movement. Bravo! Bravo Bravo!!!
  • Excellent orchestra!!! Excellent conductor!!! Beautiful strings...beautiful woodwinds...beautiful brass...beautiful percussion... WOW!!! Great sound!!!
  • If you listen carefully (using headphones maybe) you will notice the sound from the first and second violins come from each one of the channels, which probably means mastro Estrada-Orozco arrenges the orchestra with these two sections on opposite sides of him just like in Beethoven's time. This and the natural horns and trumpets I suppose wants to give the performance an authenticity touch. A very beautiful thing!

I was not familiar with this conductor, but was very impressed by his performance. He was very enthusiastic, and you could tell that the orchestra enjoyed playing for him. There was good chemistry between ensemble and conductor and it showed in the performance...very enjoyable!

The second movement became the funeral music of the 56 Hungarian Revolution! The story is: there was nobody in the ordinary offices of the Radio Kossuth (Hungarian State Radio) because the studios were in ruins, so the technicians who worked at the broadcasting tower far away from Budapest, try to play something to sign the public, that the station exists. But they find only one piece of plastic record and this was the second movement of Vii. Symphony. As far as I know, they had been playing it all day long.

Here for Beethoven's 250th birthday! Maestro Orozco-Estrada is undoubtedly my favorite interpreter of this symphony. The colors and energy that he can bring out of any orchestra is so engaging and thrilling. Bravi tutti for this wonderful and timeless recording!

Orozco-Estrada is a much sought-after conductor of this decade (and of the years to come, for sure)! He is Colombian who perfected his art in Vienna.
  • Todo dicho. Como Bethoven no hay. Cualquiera se eleva con ésta música. Muy bien interpretada, además,valga agregar. Gracias. Me hacen bien.

  • I love the second movement, the using of the bassons and the first violins is awesome (make me cry).
