    A HUGE change I’ve noticed since I started running this year is that MY CALVES GREW!!! I’ve been trying to figure out calf training for awhile now but adding some running (very little around 3-4 miles a week) literally grew my calves significantly when combined with my calf raises. I’ve been a volleyball player with very fast twitch long Achilles tendon calves for most of my life so the adverse stimulus has helped a ton.

    Agree! What i noticed is, after my cardio day, my gym session is ALWAYS better tomorrow! I feel more energized and stronger. The worst possible thing is to sit on your ass most of the time.

    You really nailed it this time! This explains why my physique hero Jason Blaha was able to put on so much muscle - more muscle than any natural on earth. Jason's history of long distance running, dancing naked on tables, and assassin work must have been a key component to acquiring those 20 inch cannons!

    I have always noticed that as an observation too. Cardio/endurance athletes that go into weight lifting, seem to grow. Maybe it's because of their mentality and they just train harder? Potentially, their ability to recover better? Who knows, it's just an observation.

    On deadlift and squats, my lungs give out before my muscles. I've been warned against cardio, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes.
