How long will we let Russia play in all our western games while the actively work against the principles and infrastructure that make them possible?!?

Biden can do a lot to help Ukraine. All the things he should have done at the start. Political will is the problem and at the very least he should ignore Jake Sullivan and lift restrictions.

then - how will putin then police the black sea and grain export from Ukraine
  • Great to hear a Russian who was suppose to 'whatever' at the Olympics was arrested, the Olympic Committee lack of interest is deplorable... ! Sad to hear about the updates on the Russian invasion.. seems every day it just gets worse as interest around the world is waning. Hope Harris as president will be less timid on Ukraine.

The Olympic Committee lost a golden opportunity to stop this war, and to prevent future wars. When athletes from aggressor-countries are shun — publicly — it is a very visible gesture. It makes people ask the question - Why? And it provides the answer. It makes people uncomfortable, and maybe some will demand reverting to a normal life and behavior. Right now, the only questions the IOC is stirring is Why are they welcoming Russians? What is the benefit of IOC in this? How is this beneficial to the rest of the athletes?

I wonder how Ukraine will survive the coming Winter with 70% of their power Stations knocked out?

What happens to the Western instructors families then after 50 of them were just eliminated. Do they get paid to stay quiet and say nothing. All these Western mercenaries being killed and the famalies say nothing. Total discrace

Russia simply moved they’re ships out of range,no victory for Ukraine
  • LOL. Ukraine "repelled" nothing. All the evening reports are in and yeah we saw the vid (provided by Ukraine) of some tanks being hit, but the reality is almost all the assault troops are geo-located to be inside Konstantynivka and the vehicles hit represent only 20% of the attacking force. In a week the town will fall and Telegraph will do as it usually does in these situations-----report nothing. Everyone knows the war is over; the new conscripts don't even fight, they just keep their heads down as RU attacks as no one wants to be the last man to die in the war...." It's over."

That man droned on and on about social media posts being sufficient to ban someone’s participation in the Olympics. I can’t imagine anything more feckless, or more silly. During the time that the Warsaw Pact was poised to initiate WWIII and proxy wars were in progress on several continents, members of their military participated in the Olympics.

"Substantial navy" no, Russia's navy has always been one of the most powerful in the world.
