More About Screw Drivers:
Crazy physics and high-speed races! Craft vehicles cleverly by combining building blocks and mechanical parts to create powerful drivetrains. Unlock new parts, race for the gold, and challenge your friends in multiplayer.

DESIGN YOUR CAR'S POWERTRAIN

Build cars with combustion or electric engines, or maybe both? You design the powertrain using axles, gears and suspensions to get the power from the engines through the wheels and onto the asphalt. Whether you build rear-wheel-drive, or power all 30 wheels of your speed machine, as long as you engineer a gear transmission, you are guaranteed to go!

CREATE INFINITE VEHICLES

Design and engineer your own car, truck, tank, plane or whatever you can think of in the easy-to-use build editor. Whether you have 4 wheels, 16 wheels, propellers, pistons, or 50 engines... vehicle construction is all yours!
Realistic or ridiculous – it’s up to you!

CHALLENGE THE MONARCHS

There’s a group of fancy royals convinced they have the best cars in the world, and who better than you to prove them wrong! Each monarch uses different building blocks to activate special mechanical features in their vehicles. Challenge them and beat their creations to unlock new engines, wheels and gears.

RACE FRIENDS AND FOES

Take your top turbo-powered creations, start up a multiplayer server, and invite your friends to race around the island together in a variety of tracks and challenges!

  • I know that the editor literally gets a compliment every single video in the comments, but jeez we gotta keep the love going to that person, it is so rare to see an editor as good as this

Hey scrap, theres 2 "carreer" levels in the supersonic test map, they're pretty unique, could doan entire video trying to get gold on them as theyre fairy tough. You need to select carreer instead of free drive to see them.

Your wheels cause drag and works like a lever and causes you to tilt forward it happens in real life as well and requires less throttle on takeoff to prevent that, also for you having issues with pitch, sense the whole tall is rotating and theres nothing past it that is a aerodynamic surface, when you let go of pitch up the plane will nose down, so youll need some sort of neutral life like planes have such as a horizontal stabilizer.
  • @StevenIngram
I swear, it acts like its taking gyroscopic procession into consideration. A test case: Instead of making the right motor run backwards, flip the prop instead. That way, the 2 props are counter rotating while providing thrust in the same direction. If the hypothesis is correct, you should get a much more controllable plane. :)

Having Stepper motors be able to move in two directions would be HUGE! It feels like a 100% necessary change for this game to really take off (pun intended)
  • @theodoric4270
The only reason I can think of for the pitching down on take-off is that the landing gear is creating drag, or even friction with the ground. Also, if a connection seems loose while the build is moving, it probably is. Whether because of a glitch or a missing connection, the build isn't welded together correctly.

The best way to reduce the down pitch during takeoff is to have gradual acceleration. The problem is that you go from no thrust to maximum power in an instant. Thats also why drones can accelerate so quickly, mostly due to the electric motors only needing a few milliseconds to output max thrust. Another suggestion is to make the aircraft really heavy so it takes a while for the aircraft to speed up.

Some fundamental aeronautics for ya centre of mass should be inline with centre of thrust and lift but slightly behind centre of lift. The tail counterintuitively should be gently passively pushing down, not providing lift and is the primary source of pitch control. Roll control is most commonly done via flaps and ailerons on the main wing. Also for the love of god if you're gonna do something like this put a wheel in the back lol.

    17:45 Scrapman's plane casually accelerates at ~5400 G's 18:21 Scrapman's plane accelerates at ~6850 G's 18:35 The plane reaches a top speed of 29345 km/h
  • Can we have a 2v2 huge pirate ship battle with intense waves where one player control the ship and the other has to sit on cannons to aim (idk if it can work that way) please? I've binged every single one of your videos of the past 4 months and I'm craving to see this.
  • @Dusto9
@18:35 for a split second you hit 29345 km/h. That's faster than the International Space Station is orbiting our planet lol
  • Here a couple answers for you scrap, 1- your trust contrast with the grip on the tire on take off making you go nose down because of it 2- stepper motor have a bug when assign to wasd, they get trigger by any of them so you need to assign the key to something else for now 3- instead of a stepper motor you can use a normal electric motor but change the ratio to reduce it this will let you fine adjust the control on both side for the tail 4- you can assign air control to numpad if you want to make your plane control manually with motor and wing 5-Some people use the shark fin as wing instead of the carbon wing this can be better sometimes... Good video glad you are making progress in the game :)

Editor is right, the Piaggio P.180 Avanti is an incredible plane that deserves more recognition! It's not backward, it's AWESOME! Performs almost like a jet, it looks like that for a reason! (Many reasons actually!)

Day 23: Idea for Trailmakers cooperation challenge: two teams of two people each, you build a vehicle for both teams to use. One person from a team controls one half of the vehicle, and the other person controls the other half. Both people have to be pressing the shoot button to shoot. You make truly amazing content ScrapMan! Please keep your channel alive. 🥺

Again, kudos to the editor on the flash removal, completely unnecesary, but positive addition... as usual. Always a good job Mr Editor.

18:40 Scrapman: this is a game breaking design. Me: wow how gamebreaking
