The only problem I have with Gears as opposed to GOW, is that Kait is so insubordinate that she’d be discharged from the military real quick.

I annoyed me that JD wasn’t leading missions when he joined back up with Kait. He’s a captain.... taking orders from a corporal.

Btw I also hate how they just gave up on JD as a protagonist. Like they only used him on to get us on board, to then switch bait out on us.

"Remember Thai? Remember how he was captured by the Locust and within a day he had been tortured to the point that he committed suicide in front of delta? You know what could have made that better? A joke from Baird about how he won't be attending that hat convention next year!" - Coalition Devs probably.

The best part about Gears was the prologue in Gears 4. We get to experience (briefly) the Pendulum Wars, E-Day and V-Day from the eyes of grunts. As soon as I saw the Swarm and realised that we didn’t ‘kill’ the Locust in Gears of War 3, I reacted with nothing other than “wow, this is lame.” They had the opportunity to explore the universe through spin-offs, but no we get sequels to a story that had a satisfying conclusion. We get annoying, disrespectful and forceful new characters that alienated me the whole way through the sequel games.

Not to mention they couldn't come up with an original enemy so they literally resurrected the locusts and called them something different.

I'm surprised not many people have pointed out how this is exactly what happened to Star Wars with the sequels

The problem with the newer Gears games stems from the main character, Kate. Every problem branches out from her.

Blown away that from a writing perspective, Kait is simply allowed to say and do as she pleases with no repercussions or consequences. Every character stood around her just gives her the podium, and the story flows accordingly. Mad. Get Rod out.

Loomis and Prescott would have had Kait shot immediately, hell Loomis would have done it himself the moment he heard she was commanding CAPTAIN JD.

Me after playing Gears 4: "Well, they wanted to show us the new era. Explained Seras situation and had a shitty ending. Its the first new Gears from TC. They will be better in 5, it cant be worse, they have still Rod Ferguson!" Me after playing Gears 5: " For the love of god. Just give us a Gears Of War 2 remaster and end this series. Its like looking a dog suffer to death. Just shoot it and end his suffering."

I got bored in gears 4 and 5. 3 is still my favorite.

I hope Gears 2 Ultimate becomes a thing. I'd love to play it at 4K 60FPS with HDR and Ray tracing. That would be amazing.

I like Gears 5 but the “this isn’t about you” line is so obviously awful and cringeworthy

Jeez I never realized how similar the Gears games are to the Star Wars Sequels. - No Direction in story - Annoying main characters that no one likes - Main Characters are immature, don't take anything seriously and act like children - "Strong Female Character"/ Mary Sue - OG Characters getting pushed to the side - Annoying Humour constantly being inserted - Forgettable Soundtrack - Weak Forgettable Villains - Boring environments - Feels like Fanfiction - Not Memorable at all I'm genuinely convinced that Movie makers/Game Devs watch goofy Loud=Funny clickbait YouTube videos and base they're script and writing off those videos.

It hurts so bad to see JD have interesting development and as soon as it begins to get good watch him get shafted.

Man, it's crazy how ALL your opinions on everything you talk about in these Gears videos mirror my opinions perfectly.

Litterally every extra gear's intro was better than Kait's Whiny Arc

Say what you will , Baird's story in judgement was 10x better than 4 and 5
