Now I know when my spiritual teacher Rumi said “Beyond right doings and wrong doings there is a field and I will meet you there” music is that field where all humanity can come together and we all can get drunk on music and enjoy life! What a beautiful coincidence that I ran into this beauty on YouTube 🎶🎶🎶

This is where we miss "Vividh Bharathi". This program is a reminder. Long back we had a program on Vividh Bharathi around late afternoon and that always gave the details of Raagas and the songs based on those Ragas. Salutes to the person who got the concept to create this presentation.

Here I am , a 73 year old man .and in Canada Transported to my youth in a jiffy . Thanks to all the Musicians . Wonderful.

I am really speechless. I came across the post by chance and started watching it. Even though it was of nearly 2-1/2 hour's presentation , I couldn't detach myself from it till the end . Spellbound performances by all the singers, kudos to all the musicians, especially the sitarist & fluit player. My heartfelt regards & gratitude to sir who anchored the overall presentation 🙏 . Being a Pakistani, wish I could have followed the worthy commentator. Perhaps you could have given a touch of universality by using a language comprehended by all the neighbours of Bharat. To my Bangla speaking friends: আড়াই ঘণ্টা এমন মানুষ অনেক আছেন, যারা বলিউড নামটা শুনলেই অনেকে নাক সিঁটকান, অথচ চুপি চুপি বলিউডের দেহ দোলানো নাচ নাইনটি ডিগ্রি অ্যাঙ্গেলে চোখ ঘুরিয়ে দেখেন, বলিউড স্টাইলে শাড়ি পড়েন, আঁচল বা ওড়না-চোরনা পরেন, বাংলা ভাষার মধ্যেও দু-একটা হিন্দি শব্দ খেয়ালে-বেখেয়ালে বেমালুম এস্তেমালও করে ফেলেন। এটা কিন্তু হলিউডের ক্ষেত্রে হয় না। আমি নির্বিচারে কোনো কিছু বা কারও প্রতি অনুরাগী কিংবা বিরাগভাজন হওয়ার বিপক্ষে। ভাল-মন্দ মিলিয়েই আমাদের পৃথিবী। আমাদেরকে নীতি, নৈতিকতা, রুচি, সংস্কৃতি, মাঙ্গল্য বিবেচনা করে চলতে পারলেই পৃথিবীটা সকল বৈচিত্র্যের মাঝেও স্বর্গীয় আনন্দে মুখরিত হয়ে উঠতে পারে। ইউটিউব ঘাটতে ঘাটতে হঠাৎ করেই এই আড়াই ঘণ্টার একটি ভিডিও পেয়ে গেলাম। আমার কাছে মনে হলো, বলিউড চলচ্চিত্রের অসাধারণ সৃষ্টিশীল কাজগুলোর একটা সমৃদ্ধ সংগ্রহ এই ভিডিও। কণ্ঠ, সঙ্গীতায়োজন, রেকর্ডিং, গান নির্বাচন- সব কিছুতেই মুন্সিয়ানার ছাপ রয়েছে। আমরা স্বীকার করি কিংবা না করি, সঙ্গীতে আমাদের সাধারণ মানুষের যে রুচিবোধ, সেই রুচিবোধ তৈরিতে এই ভিডিওতে অন্তর্ভুক্ত বলিউড ছবির গানগুলো অসামান্য ভূমিকা রেখেছে। আমার কথায় আস্থা না রেখে গানগুলো শুনেই দেখুন। নাহ্! দেখতে হবে না, চোখ বুজে শুনলেই বরং ভালো।
