More surface hardness combined with higher melting point is actually better for sanding, not worse! I would love to have more infos on potential VOCs because this sounds like ABS filament if it was good 😂
  • @jzagaja
Another filament that may change the scene is TPU that can have 87 shore D, HDT >100C and shrinkage 0,1-0,3% depending on fibers content. Can be printed even in cold garage 10C and cold bed.

Needing an enclosure is definitely a bit of an oof for those (like me) that don't have one..
  • @makelvin
One thing you forgot to mention here is that PCTG is more than twice the price of PETG. Unless there is a very special needs for your part, I think sticking with PETG would be more sensible.
  • Wow. Wish I had known about this before a project I just finished where clarity was a factor. I might have to call the guy and tell him we need to do a redo!! Great video.
  • At this point i am HEAVILY doubting this aint AI generated bullshit. ..."its harder to drill and sand because its harder than PLA" is the type of bullshit chatgpt throws at you. Nope. Too soft is frankly worse than too hard, if you want to mill, drill, or sand it. As it gums up everythign.

The script sounds like it's been generated by ChatGTP, and gets a few things wrong or weird.
  • I need to know the details of that nozzle cam! Looks great
  • @666Corpselord
Is that a filament dryer or a printer in the thumbnail?
  • @ArranAsh
This is some absolute AI slop wow
  • @valent_t
Do you have any proof or measurements for these claims or are you just reading the datasheet?
  • @ripmax333
what about overhangs? is it better than PETG?
  • @sierraecho884
There is no real improvement in PCTG over PETG for the common man. PCTG is usually more expensive. People who really need to use this type of material already know all about it so I am not sure who this video is made towards. 90% of all people still use trash PLA.
  • @Andyah
would to be nice to see something from that material u are talking about..not same video all over again u have used the last few videos back..kind of boring and lazy. dunno if the man talking is a man or is it just AI or something..sounds exactly the same lvl in tone all the way..

This is definitely an AI voice over. Kinda whack but not every channel is going to be putting out well produced content. read about it on your own is my advice to myself.
