Hugh Laurie's father was a physician so he grew up around medicine, and is a Cambridge grad so he's been exposed to some level of the scientific method. He would've been a fairly good medical doctor… (PS. His father was also an Olympic Gold medalist, so clearly an overachiever…)

I was shocked when I saw Huge Laurie on The Graham Norton Show and he was speaking with a British accent. We never missed a show of House. Huge Laurie is a very versed actor.
