Heyo!

Had the chance to finally cook with Grandma which was also the first time cooking with her. Surprisingly.

I'm quite the apprentice and she didn't even let me cook, more like mesh things up but still managed to screw up.

Sambal Ma (Grandma's Sambal):
8 Bird's eye chilli
6 pcs Cherry tomatoes
1 Eschallot (small red onion)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon terasi (shrimp paste/powder)
1 tablespoon sugar

Taste and season, at the end we added chopped coriander, except it's actually meant to be with basil.

  • She doesn't want to tell you her recipe because she thinks if you'll know you'll stop going to her place more often. That's what I learned living with my grandparents.

I can feel that Reynold is so loved his grandma and respect her! What a good and kindness boy he us! Every time he was criticized by the judges, he showed good listening even though he was sad, still willingly to accept and learn from result. Add oil, Reynold, you are a great chef, you deserved have a prospective future, enjoy your work, your family. It is a precious to have a family when your family members are around you. God bless you, Reynold.

    Doesn't matter if you're a master chef. Grandma's kitchen, grandma's rules.

  • I love the way she passes her cooking recipes information through your taste buds. You will never get it exactly like hers, but will truly enjoy the time spent trying.

Meski berlabel "chef", bukan berarti jago dalam memasak semuanya. Hal paling simple sambel, blm tentu yg namanya chef bisa bikin. Homecooking is the best lah pokoke!

Love that she got her own shed for cooking her craft, she works her magic in her 'private office'! πŸ˜… She reminds me a lot of my late grandma back in sulawesi... Grandma is a treasure for all grandchildren. ❀️❀️

Indonesia banget. Dapurnya di belakang terpisah sama rumah. So traditional, the kitchen located separated from the main house. And she throw things out in the ground...lol

Hearing your Grandma speaking with a very thick Kupang accent is just so surprising and makes me miss my Mom so much. Greetings from a fellow NTT for your Grandma Her Beef Se’i looks so yummy
