I always like your wrap ups to see what you read. I really enjoyed Mary as well. Glad I got to join in on the discussion in Death by TBR. I'm loving Homecoming Cha Cha Cha. so good!
  • @CriminOllyBlog
Really glad you liked Mary so much, I really did love it.
  • @mildrumpus
Great video! I also loved "Mary." I'm hoping to pick up Nat Cassidy's new book, "Nestlings" soon. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
  • @SlimeAndSlashers
Love your wrap up! You almost have me convinced to try Dead Inside 😂

So stoked to see The Reformatory getting so much love. Talk about a book I know I'll keep thinking about! And the skull smoking a cigarette of that Vile Visions cover is too much🤣I'll check it out based on the strength of that alone! Glad your reading year is off to such an awesome start!
  • @katrinabrown
Mary is so good! Nestlings is shorter and so good as well! Haha, I'm still so surprised that you liked Dead Inside 😂
  • I really want to read The Reformatory and Mary. I love the cover of Dead Inside. “Crazy Town!” 😂 I consider myself warned. 😂 Goodness, the covers for Vile Visions and Code Red. 😮 Thanks so much for participating in the Nevermore Readathon. You picked some really great stories by Poe. 🐦‍⬛ You have a good balance of books, shows, and movies. Terrific wrap up, Crystal! 📚 😊

I loved drive your plough!! I think it's so interesting that sooo many people don't like it.

Great wrap-up! I always enjoy seeing the variety of books that you read. The Reformatory is an absolute masterpiece. I hope you like Nestlings -- I actually liked it a lot more than Mary. I'm glad you warned me about The Perfect Son. I, too, have a disabled child. I feel like I'm constantly looking for books that have accurate representation, and most fail in the worst way.
  • I loved Drive Your Plow. It reminded me, stylistically, of Shirley Jackson a bit. You've piqued my interest in The Reformatory . Thanks for sharing!

YOu have me so curious about dead inside. Pretty sure I have that on my kindle, so I should check it out. You have never steered me wrong!
  • @TRSlauf
I’m reading Mary right now and I love it!

Drive Your Plow is in fact a strange one. I actually felt the same way about it. I wanted to dnf, but I stuck with it and gave it 4 stars. I had fun just listening to your review of Dead Inside 😂
  • I loved Mary, too! I am also drawn to stories about people going home again. I think it's because, like they say, you can't go home again. So, it's always interesting to see where people end up. I know you loved Stillhouse Lake. Have you read any of the other books in the series? I read the second one (5 stars) and am on to the third. It's also very good!!
