Man, I used to hate this guy in my youth. Arrogant, cocky, overconfident, a douchebag, a poser, model - not a footballer. I used to call him all of these. But as I grew up and matured I realized: He is all of these things, but he is even more. He is a worker. He is a talent. He is a winner. I realized that he can be as confident as he wants because, he deserves it with his hard work. So I stopped hating on him. From a hater I became a fan. I got amazed by his constant grind, his mindset and work. For me personally only few players influenced the modern game the most - Zidane, Romario, Luis Nazario de Lima Ronaldo and Cristiano Ronaldo. 3 of them had an amazing talent. But Cristiano surpasses them by never stopping. By being relentless in his work ethic. He is 38 now and seeing him on the bench is sad, but he still has the hunger and the motivation. That's why he is the GOAT.

As I started playing football when I was maybe 3 years old, parents and all the adults said that Cristiano is the guy no one likes, he is arrogant, doesn’t celebrate goals when his teamate scores etc. And that Messi is the humble one, the better…. But as I grew older, I read books about Cristiano, watched YT videos and documentaries, I realized that the opposite is true. Ronaldo is the guy, who wants it. He is the one who doesn’t quit, who was the will. He became my idol, and I’m learning everything from him, lifestyle, work ethic, skills… No hate on Messi, both are the goats, but in my opinion Messi is the player, who was gifted by got with talent. Ronaldo can thank only himself for all the success he made, for the records he broke! 🔥🇵🇹🐐💪
