Watching this back is so nostalgic, I feel like there was this belief and feeling throughout the video that Lucy was going to win and that she did. I've been following this channel and team for a number of years and has been inspiring to me as an athlete to see you go out there and rise from an AG athlete to now a World Champion in Kona. Watched every single minute of the race. . Got very emotional watching g you win. Kept thinking about you poking yourself in the eye with a biro and trying g to put that squirrel house on your fence-π when you were on crutches -by which I mean-your incredible toughness and focus through injury and adversity to attain your ultimate goal. Back then I said put a metaphorical coin in a jar every time you felt angry or frustrated at not being able to train and race and that jar of coins would be there for motivation one day and you proved today just how turning setback into focus and determination can get you your ultimate dream. Iβve watched your ups and downs on YouTube since the beginning and cannot tell you how proud and inspired I felt watching g you CRUSH it out there and seeing your utter joy at winning. Enjoy every second. So happy for you. π

Love you Lucy! You inspire me enough to train for a sprint. 65 yrs old. Quad bypass,pacemaker had long covid fatigue for the past 2 yrs. I watch all your vids. Finally have energy back. Been biking and started indoor zone 2. Swam for the first time in decades. Long road. Thanks.
