The Constitution is still very much in the news these days. The basics for understanding this important document are presented here by Rabbi Hillel Katzir, J.D. This program is part of the Poudre River Public Library's "Civics @ Your Library" series.

This guy is awesome. We need more people to explain to these young minds how an actual legal system works and how to think.
  • He teaches this, just like I learned in school in the 1980’s. He breaks it down esp. the concept of we the people” as sovereign. Excellent job!
  • The USA is a Representative Republic & the Electorial College (EC) prevents mob of the minority of the republic, by the majority of the republic. That's why the EC is significant, essential & important.
  • Now, THERE'S a true teacher!! He didn't politicize anything. He taught factual and historical data. THANK YOU!! A+, good sir.
  • The Articles of Confederation created a framework for a central government. "We, the People" create a composite individual, here to represent all mankind. Public feedback has power, it's up to us to keep them honest.
  • I loved the delivery and ease of discussion. I will share with my young kids.
  • Needless to say, if anyone wants to understand the subject deeply, the Federalist`s papers is a must! You really have to understand the mindset of Hamilton & Madison.
  • He did quite a good job with this, especially when you consider how today we are most often forced to look at the subject through the distorted lens of political correctness and things such as that.
  • The biggest problems with teachers, some are really good at talking but not so good with the subject. Others are terrible speakers but are really knowledgeable with the subject making it hard to listen and pay attention too. The final are like this speaker really good at speaking and very knowledgeable of the subject creating a fascinating lecture. Great information.
  • I love how this man explained the constitution. Shortcut knowledge. 🙏🙏
  • Very informative. I was impressed that he avoided Pros & Cons of the Constitution and stayed away from the Political Conflicts and views that are abundant today. Very enjoyable to be educated about what the founders tried to invent and direct
  • Excellent lecture. I have a BA political Science from Florida International University (Miami, Florida).1981
  • This teacher is really good. I wish I had someone like him when I was in school. Very friendly as well.
  • Thank you for taking the time educate Americans about their country and how important this is.
  • The congress should ignore prior rulings of the court and follow the oath of office.
  • This was the city I was born in. Good for you for free civics lessons
