Israel's Prime Minister touches down in Washington amid protests | ABC News

Publicado 2024-07-23
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in Washington DC where he will meet with US President Joe Biden.

The Israeli leader is also scheduled to deliver a speech to a joint session of Congress.

Some politicians have said they'll boycott the speech, citing atrocities committed in Gaza.

Meanwhile a flurry of protests have unfolded across the US capital.

Some of the demonstrations condemned Israel.

Others expressed support while pressuring Netanyahu to strike a cease-fire deal and bring home the hostages still being held by Hamas.
