  • Just had my first lesson on Sunday and loved it. It has ALWAYS been my childhood dream to ride horses and care for them. However, I'm 65 going on 66 on March 25th. But with the will of the Lord Almighty, He will provide a way to learn the necessary skills I need. Love your tutorial and subscribed to your channel. God bless. In my first riding lesson kept holding the reigns kinda long and the excess reigns on my hands kept twisting. Another was the how to start the trot, that the rider has to stand up on /raise yourself up onto the stirrups and sit back on the saddle . Please advise I 'M A BEGINNER DON'T KNOW THE CONCEPT. I don't know how to drive but at least achieve this life long goal through God's Grace. Thank you and take.

I’ve been an equestrian for like 4 years and I’m watching this. Peak entertainment. 😂
  • I've watched every how to ride a horse yt video in one night. This is by far the most helpful one!

Watching this as a fantasy writer, who is about to let their protagonist mount a horse for the first time, I am incredibly thankful for your super easy and clear explanations without any fuss. thank you so very much.
  • After twelve years of leukemia, I'm strong enough to try this. I REALLY appreciate knowing the basics. I took lessons at 11 thru 12 years old...more that a little while ago. For whatever reason, I can't wait to get back on a horse - it helps me get through the rough days. I have a goal! Thank you so much for your videos.

I have been riding for 7 years and I’m watching this 😂
  • I rode for the first time yesterday and now I'm obsessed!! Even after falling off when trying to trot the first time. Thankfully the only thing bruised was my ego 😆

dont have a horse. but i still subbed! great demonstration. it still baffles me how horses understand all these commands and specially when it come to racing the concept of beating others to win

Tucker is so lucky to have such a good horse mom. And you’re lucky to have him.
  • @AGKyounger
This is very helpful! I learned how to stop when a horse is going to fast thanks because I might need that!
  • @dorisstam1411

I discovered your channel today (28 March 2022) and decided to watch, I'm glad I did. I have been riding most of my life (I'm nearly 73) and I found your explanations clear and concise as well as entertaining. I really enjoyed watching and would recommend this to any 'newbies'.

this is so helpful. i haven’t been on a horse since i was about 4 years old. roping or barrel racing has been one of my biggest dreams. i annoy absolutely everybody in my family about how i want to ride & now they’re going to teach me how to rope!
  • I just found your channel. Thank heavens I did. Your instruction is amazing. So, so much better than anything I’ve seen in 5 years of riding videos. I’m going through the rest of your videos as fast as possible. The only thing slowing me down is my cat asking for big stokes and cuddles while I’m watching - I think he likes the horses ☹️
  • @aureumhabat8411
Your channel is growing, I’m really happy because I love your videos! Keep up the great work, and keep being awesome!
  • @Jodi-EllenSmith
Love your video! Had a lesson a year ago which was awful; the lady never explained anything in detail like you do. Now I’m fulfilling my childhood dream in my 40’s and no one is going to stop me. I’ve been a sailing instructor, and have studied teaching too, so I know how to break things down to teach beginners and the riding school I went to at first did nothing of the sort, just plonked me on the oldest, most sleepy horse and just keep telling me I was doing it wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank you, thank you, thank you for your channel 🙏🏼🤗🤩 I’m already feeling far more confident about it all and am excited rather than anxious ☺️
  • @WebOfTwilight
Oh, thank you so much for this video! I volunteer at a trail riding stable and I was told to use neck reining but I didn't quite understand how to do it. Thank you so much! This has been so helpful!
  • @vanessaann6454
This was amazing thank you. I would be at my 4th riding lesson right now but my instructor had a family problem so it is later into the week and I am watching so many of your vids because unlike many other equestrians that have a lot of horses you just have tucker and yoshi and you really care about the welfare of them
