    Watching these games, the one thing I noticed Nightmare doing a lot was microing stalkers to constantly shave medivacs, vikings and ghosts specifically, keeping their numbers as low as possible. Trusting the storms, zealots, and collosus to keep the marine/marauder count in check. What a treat or a series to watch

    damn, nightmare plays protoss to the protoss fantasy. Feels like he is a hunter, rather than the death ball. Going to be my favorite protoss if he improves. I hope he gets better.

    As a plain Observer of SC games and having love for the Protoss race, it was an absolute spectacle to watch a 'Toss player have DECISIVE victories against Terran players like Byun and Clem.

    notice how in the last game Nightmare switches in and out of colossi. Terran ends up building vikings just in case - and in half the battles, the vikings are wasted supply cause there are no colossi. the last fight shows this as well, Terran's bio is getting obliterated while he's frantically landing a bunch of vikings.

    I'm not typically ever excited to see a Hero or MaxPax game, but this Nightmare guy... What a blast to watch. He's really making Protoss feel powerful again.

  • Nightmare's control was out of this world, even to feedback ghosts one by one before they can use EMP.

    I do enjoy this kind of play from Nightmare, very technical, very clean movement.
  • 7 Key takeaways for Protoss: 1. Prioritize killing ghosts & medivacs. 2. Use Feedback to keep their energy low (same as killing for a battle but easier to snipe with). 3. Build 3-5 observers when not making immortals or collossi (cheaper than a scan & same build time as an overlord 18sec). 4. Don't build mass Disruptors. 5. Build High Templars instead. 6. Don't build archons until you use High Templar spells first. 7. Don't clump archons together and have them lead the charge so they take 1 full EMP without affecting nearby units. In a battle ghosts account for about 40-55% of all damage with EMP (depending on how low the HP of the Protoss army is without shields). Medivacs are the sustain so that fights can last longer than 3 stims (30 seconds). Storms quickly bring the bio low enough to get 1-2 shot by gateway units. This takes immaculate control by Protoss and can get countered still by cloaked ghosts and being out of position.
