  • I really respect Johan, but his rationale "he can't do it now" is why Cav was rejected by so many teams, having to basically go around begging for a place. He always delivers, despite all these doubters. What a rider. GOAT.
  • @fhowland
Cav, the greatest sprinter of all time, no doubt. To beat the best in the world -- guys 20 years younger than him -- at 39 is a testament to his grit, work ethic, and talent. Chapeau!
  • Thanks for putting that into perspective. He beat the father AND the son. WOW.
  • @zikaperic2133
Johan has his a** hurting thinking about Vino... bro congratulate the guy. He did a good job. We forget the 1st stage where the whole team was babysitting Cav for 150km...
  • Greetings from Sri Lanka. Congratulations Sir Mark Cavendish the greatest sprinter all time. How about a few more wins Sir. Can't believe my eyes watching the finish. 👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
  • More flat stages to come... this is going to get exciting with the sprint stages and green jersey competition. ❤ Sir Cavendish!

Always remember. Eddy Merckx only had 8 Tour de France.
  • @yelapa999
The great Peter Sagan came and went during Mark's (ongoing) career. Astounding.
  • Superb podcast Johan a legend and Jimmy brings it all together, love to hear you both, especially when Sir Mark rode himself into the history books, what a sprinter! Thanks guys

Johan's Insights are always INSIGHTFUL! a part of cycling as normal cyclist will never know
  • @Chiller11
I find Johan’s insights particularly interesting. He is able to identify significant details in race tactics or strategy that others don’t appreciate or understand. He is the first to point out Mark Cavendish’s chain consistently popping off at the finish. I just saw a really good slow motion video of that, crazy.

5:00 George always believed in him. Cav is not as powerful as the others - but has a low frontal area, and great instincts/bike handling skills. 35 TDF wins happen for a reason (including 4 in 2021).
  • First I want to congratulate you guys on a excellent report on stage 5 of the TF the best, all the others are junk. Your comments on Cav well done and the rest of your reporting is excellent I have lot more to say about Cavs win but that’s for a later time. I just wanted to thank you.
