Over the course of a year I ramped up to around 25,000 steps a day. Sometimes up to 50,000... I watched videos about 'how to walk'... the first month... I did 9 miles in total. Today I walked 12 miles round stonehenge with a backpack. With keto, saunas and OMAD added to the mix I lost 210 lbs in 11 months... I kicked my depression and anxiety... I am now a more than healthy 165 lbs Walking literally saved my life.
  • My grandfather who lived well into his nineties always said “walk like you are late for an appointment.”

Good morning everyone. I do 5000 steps a day, about 2 miles. I am in my 60s, retired and determined to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. I feel grateful and healthy!
  • I’ve just started walking,on the3rd of may after 35 years of chronic illness. I achieved 100 steps on average a day inside my home. After an incident I embraced the fear and stepped outside my front door to do 100 steps. I did 50 one way, and 50 back. I felt so proud. Fast forward to yesterday and I achieved nearly 10,000! I am staggered by the beauty of my walks. How much I love it and already in this short space of time, how beneficial it has been. I feel stronger and stronger every day. Thank you for your wisdom and teachings.
  • Never sit for more than an hour without getting up and moving around. The sedentary nature of so many people's employment nowadays is long term DEADLY.

I used to walk more. I just went through treatment for triple negative breast cancer and mastectomy. Since then I’m averaging around 5000 steps a day. I’ll get it back! 💪🏽💕

Decades ago got my dad to get off his behind and start walking regularly. He's well into his 70's now and still walking 3-5 miles nearly every day and doing very well. From what I've seen so far in my life you can definitely tell the difference in people in different age-groups between those who remain active and those who sit on the sofa all day watching television.

Listen to this doctor, people. My husband was diagnosed with Type II and was told he would never get off metformin and would eventually end up on insulin for the rest of his life. The special diabetic nutritionist told him to eat three meals a day and two snacks totaling 180 grams of carbs a day. I said, no, that is too many carbs. I was very strict with his eating. What he ate away from home, I have no idea, but I counted every carb for him and dished out his meals for him. Even made and froze breakfast sandwiches for him for before work. He was taken off the metformin in less than a year and that was years ago. His sister, also diagnosed with Type II, listened to the nutritionist, ended up on insulin and now has an insulin pump and looks like death warmed over. Please please please listen to Dr. Ekberg if you are Type II. You will be happy you did.
  • I’ve been walking 12 000 steps per day for a few months now it’s made a massive difference I’ve lost 24 kilo fasting for 16 hours two weeks a day with as close to 0 carbs as I can. And feel 10 years younger. I follow this guy and implement all his advice . It’s made a massive difference in my life. I can not express how this guys advise has helped me I was 120 kilo now 96kilo with a target of 90 kilo.

This is one of the best instructional videos Sten does. His Olympic background gives him a unique advantage. Great common sense without acting like a salesman. By far my favorite health Dr.

I'm 66, love to hike, bike and walk! Usually between 6 and 8km per day walking and biking around 32km a day . 12 years ago I could not even walk 3 km. But starting eating right and being active. You can do it!!!!
  • Sir: I am 82.5 and T2 diabetic since I was about 45. I walked 3-5 miles 3-4x per week up to age 75. For the last 25 years I added workouts in a gym. My A1C is around 7.0. It took me years to study nutrition and make changes. Now, with a wife living in a bed for about ten years, too tired to continue the routines. I am responsible for her needs 24-7. Active but not true cardio active. Short bouts of depression occur and physical activity helps muchly. This video is much appreciated
  • Was doing 80,000 a day, roughly, as a picker in a Amazon warehouse. Very healthy job.

Walking backwards if you are in a safe place is incredible. It helps your brain, is great for better balance, and uses slightly different muscle percentages than walking forward.
