Use your drone to perform drone mapping and photogrammetry, create maps, point clouds and 3D models for FREE with this MapsMadeEasy tutorial! It's cloud based, so you don't need a powerful computer either.

Maps Made Easy makes it so simple for anyone who owns a drone or UAV to use photogrammetry and create a map for free and then share it online! But not just DJI drones, their cloud processing app will process any drone images.

See how it compares to commercial offerings such as Agisoft Metashape and Pix4D.

Autel drones are supported as well in their flying app. It's amazing what they offer free of charge.

This took all my worries out of mapping and mapping and processing for the first time. This was an incredible and easy to understand tutorial not to mention how user-friendly Maps Made Easy is to use. Liked, subscribed and shared.
  • Software like this is fantastic for giving new pilots a way to experience and experiment with mapping. Great vid! 🔺

Thx for your video. I would like to use this for landscaping on medium size properties. Which would be the most economic drone you would recomend for this?
  • @PedjaRajic
Great review.I have one question, is there any way in this free version to calculate say how many cubic meters a given pile of soil is? Thanks in advance
  • Hice fotogrametría con dron Mavic air 2. Y al terminar de subir las fotos me envía un error de acceso a las etiquetas de estas y no me las procesa. Quedo atento.

Is there any similar software that will support the RC (not Pro) controller?

Can't find Map Pilot Pro on my DJI RC 2 Controller. How do you start it?
  • @SpikeySlayer
Niice thanks for the video. I'm waiting for the mini 3 sdk, because my mini 2 is gone, broken :( Tip/question for next videos: if you could add a 25% to the microphone sens. ? Keep sharing your tutorials, you are doing cool stuff, i activated the bell on your channel <3

Very new to drone photogrammetry and as soon as I can I plan on giving this software a try. 2 questions though. You mentioned a link in the description that would go into more detail about map pilot - I don't see it. Is there a free version of global mapper. It is quite expensive and a huge investment for someone just starting out and learning. A stipped version that did only a few features like contour lines and stuff would be fine. Thanks.

Great video! I'm using the DJI Mini 3 Pro (March 2024). I attempted to use Maps Made Easy but I need a photo from my starting point (ground level) so I'm going to try again tomorrow. Any other suggestions or tips I should be aware of?
