This is easily my favorite version of this song, and this is coming from someone who grew up with the Finnish dub. The music and voice here just make me visualize the "silver storm" of snow, prancing horses and dancing figures in my head. ...My favorite part of the song is when the music and voice swell for "dim as an ember". I can feel that in my spine.

It's been decades and Anastasia's still my favorite princess movie.

Very deep lyrics for a child film. In a way, being a 90's kid, I feel like her. She's reflecting on a past she forgot and I forgot about this movie and the music in it so in a way I relate to the lyrics and forgot parts of my own childhood, just like her. God their story is tragic. This song makes my heart hurt for the Romonov children. If only their father had been a better leader, their lives may have gone on for so much longer.

Just watched this movie with daughter and was mesmerized by this voice.. AMAZING!!!!

Last night I was telling a friend how much I loved this song from the stage version I saw and she said "You should add it to your Jazzy Christmas repetoire" So I thought I would look it up and you originated it!
