The talk itself was fine, but the intro that lady gave was flawless.

I've been told by a physical therapist not to try to maintain the awake position too long. She told me the aware position was more ideal. I've also been told not to sit more than 20 minutes without getting up and taking a break from sitting.

Thanks ted for inviting such curious youngster. I pray for your brother(may be the inspiration you're on stage) and What a coincidence at home iam watching this talk show sitting on stool. Thats like a Half squat without any awareness. So friends get good wooden stool from a carpenter atleast for childrens.

So, our bodies health is dictated by the type of job we have! When I have been at home and without work, I have been the healthiest in my life, because my body tells me when I need a change from sitting or standing or anything else. Unfortunately at the office we just cant get up an move around! No wonder everyone is grumpy!!!!

I would like to know if those seats that have no back and spread the weight of the body onto the knees is a good solution?

All that tinkering will not replace taking movement breaks every 20 minutes

And figure out some kind of movement you can do to break up hours of sitting to prevent the body tightening up to stabilize instead of learning to use anatomy (not overly tight fascia) to stabilize.
