From my point of view, Allah's creation isn't the only gift given to us. Worship in itself is also a gift given to us because it is of no benefit to Allah (SWT). Worship only benefits the worshipper. When we perform our five daily prayers, we are the one's being cleansed of our sins and this is not only a gift to us from Allah (SWT) but also an example of his mercy. Therefore, there is no gift being given with strings attached to it because we cannot give Allah (SWT) anything in exchange for his gifts that will benefit him in any way. Everything serves to benefit us (e.g., food, clothing, shelter etc), as well as the gift of worship.
