After school one day of 1985, at the age of 8 years old, I unlocked the appartment door with the key that was tied around my neck and entered into an empty place. I played this LP on my parents record player and sat on the sofa and cried. After playing this song over and over again my tears dried; however, as a silent depression took hold, my father walked in the door and saw the troubled look on my face. He said " Son it looks like you have alot on your mind". I said, "Yes Dad.... You see my mother and father were fighting for weeks about an affair my mother was having with the property security guard. This was just a few weeks after our Church had the largest revival of its entire history. I saw the hypocrisy, deceit, and lies in the lives of my parents, in contrast to the lyrics of this song - It broke my heart. Even to this day; 30 years later; this song symbolizes the end of innocence for me and the breakup of my family home.

Hello - i´m a german man - and my english is not good. This song is very good and the theme is the Nationalhymne from Israel - this is a wonderfoul Land of this earth and i hope that peace and liberty for ever more for this nation give. G.R.

This lady has one of the greatest voices in the world. He who is with out sin, throw the first stone. Lift up don't judge and enjoy the beautiful music Amy Grant gives us!

Amen! This song is such a great example of how our life should be changed when we call on our Lord. We all have been through pain, abuse, sorrow, but he wants us to trust him and his love for us never changes. He is our fortress our rock forever.

awesome young lady then and a fine woman, wife and mother now. minister of song to the body of Christ as well as the lost...I praise God for giving talents to people to glorify Him:)
