How to explain Sam's 2 wins easily for Rhyme? He only had 1 MST and 1 other backrow remover,that is not enough against Sam's lucky draws

Modern Yugioh....you still see people play a full field of spells and traps. But the difference is Modern you're likely going to activate every backrow card anyway on the next turn where old school...They kind of just sit there until needed (and it was advised against doing that cause you're asking for a heavy storm/Giant Trunade). Mage Power and United We Stand were incredibly powerful back in the day. I mean for one. Maha Valo or Hayabusa Knight plus those cards is an absolute nightmare. And usually when someone plays those cards especially together. The opponent is likely out of responses. And most people that played defense pretty much had Labyrinth Wall/Millennium Shield (promo) or Man-Eater Bug. Like you outs IF YOU EVEN OWN THOSE CARDS was like Shadow Spell, Spell-binding circle, etc. You didn't want to play Dark Hole back then cause it's pretty much a field reset. TL:DR 2002 Yugioh was more about oppressive power than effects. Least back when I played.
