Was not expecting Kratos to walk through that door and I got JUMP SCARED
-
that kratos walking in the portal out of nowhere, ouch we all feel that
-
Kratos went from being the worst son to being the best father.
-
"I do not need you to protect me." The 20+ Resurrection Stones Atreus had to use just so Kratos could be in this cutscene:
-
When I saw Kratos I was like"ooh you are so busted".
-
When he walked through that portal- let me tell you that I screamed "OH FUCK DADS HERE."
-
We can all agree that Kratos only wants to be a good father for Atreus and all, but it kinda hits differently when Kratos believes his days are becoming limited before Ragnarök. So he's trying to spend as much time with his own son as possible before his prophesized end because he fears to leave Atreus alone in the world when there was still so much for him to teach his son and so much to do that he'd never have the chance to do if he waited too long
-
Real props to the voice actor and people who did Kratos's face at 0:23. That sense of confusion and fear for his son just comes across so well.
-
“You don’t believe any of it!” “AND STILL I FOLLOW” 😭😭😭
-
It's like coming home late and your dad's up, and waiting for you. But man after Kratos initially got angry, the way hes visibly worried for Atreus jus tugs my heart man 😭
-
“and still, I follow”
-
The irony is that both believe Kratos will die in the future, but both are keeping it secret, and that secret is what ultimately saves his life
-
Doesn’t matter how old you are playing this game, everyone instinctually reverted to the dreaded “dad caught me sneaking out” when Kratos just effing emerges from the portal
-
We know Kratos wouldn't harm Atreus but his presence here is enough to invoke terror
-
This scene made my heart drop to my ass
-
1:12 I just love how even when they’re having a full blown father and son argument kratos first instinct was still to protect Atreus from harm
-
When he bumped into his dad, I was like, “Oh, shit! Boy, you are screwed.”
-
Kratos had to have stood there for two days waiting for atreus
-
This scene was so badass. One of the best cutscenes in a videogame, for a long time.

0:38 dude you can hear the sadness of betrayal in his voice 🤧 Man I love the detail in this gam
