Weird robot rebalance. Last week we suspected a Curie and Eiffel nerf, but now we have some confirmation about multiple robot changes. Including Curie, Ochokochi and Mauler. The test server is a 'testing' part of the game, but it can also show whats upcoming to the live server. Some of the nerfs are actually pretty reasonalbe but others are confusing. 1 thing is for sure, only tanks are truly surviving on the live server right now. Massive Rebalance 💥

  • The Ocho in the second game went down quick because you got rusted. Rust is very dangerous to the Ocho as it’s DOT effect infliction will kill it fast if it’s rusted and cannot heal to counter act the damage. The ability is still really good as it minimizes Grey HP, but the Dot is dangerous if you can’t out heal it. Also fun tip, if you time your Ocho Ability when a raptor jumps, you can send them flying away across the map. Good tip if you don’t feel like dealing with them haha.

  • There is no fucking way a balanced bot is getting nerfed. The ocho is basically dead compared to its prime self and they decide to fuck it over again?
  • Ocho didn't even need a nerf, curie needed an ability cooldown nerf of 1-2 seconds. On top of the turret nerf.

    If everyone has Curie then no one else would be complaining lol, just like the time they wanted to nerf vajira and indra but after a while everyone already owns it and no one is complaining anymore 😂
  • I have been saying for a while that imo the only nerf Curie needs is to lose the speed boost from the ability, because any speed-up granted by that rocket booster in the back surely cancels out from the additional weight of the teleported armor. But additonally, it could even be appreciated if Pixo went the extra mile and showed they care about adding depth to their game by dividing the ability in two phases similar to Falcon: 1) First press of the ability button: the extra armor teleports onto the bot and halves its walking speed. This phase doesn't get the ability timer going; you can remain in this form indefinitely. 2) Second press of the ability button: the turrets teleport as usual, the rocket booster turns on and the bot speeds back up to the its original walking speed. The usual ability timer starts. Alternatively, rather than two player-controlled phases like this, they could be externally triggered: 1st phase happens as described and 2nd phase triggers when the teleported armor gets hit. Point is, it gets to show the slow down from the extra armor weight and also makes Curie a less simplistic robot, which imo is very fitting if its name honors who I think it honors. For Eiffel, two ideas: no defense points in flight, and using the dash ability on the ground should have a delay of 1 second (the dash-enabling pieces should have to fully finish teleporting and connecting to the bot before it can start dashing, you know?). Beyond this, try nerfing the weapons these bots ends to use, such as applying to Subduer the same accuracy nerf as Damper/Tamer, doubling the cooldown time of the titan flamethrowers, and either giving 3-sec lock-on time to the homing feature of the 600-meter titan Smuta weapons or otherwise doing a roughly equivalent damage nerf of 15%. I say all this as someone who does not have these robots and has being destroyed plenty by them. I don't want them to be ruined with nerfs, just balanced and ultimately made more unique and realistic in the process. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

    That ochokochi "nerf" might be a bug, it happened with another bot in the past, but if it's not a bug then they plan to make the ocho unplayable, after all ocho is still used everywhere just like lynx and we now that picsonic doesn't like that, it would make sense if you think about it.
  • The Ocho runs looked normal to me. Without throwing everything possible into the Ocho, it really isn't all that great. No pilot skills on the TS right?

    the game is just RECYCLE and everything released by the new robot.titan and weapon will be the ULTIMATE VERSION when the time comes.

  • I'm not sure if the ocho actually got nerfed, it might just be a visual bug and heavy fire, because the dot reduction description is still there
  • So It seems I need to build my 2nd curie that I won yesterday. That robot is the only one that can fight against raptor with good odds.
  • 6:30 does anyone not notice that the Mauler literally stuns you and makes you not able to turn for 10s?? 14:46 this is not a bug the Mauler lock and makes you not able to turn. Bro honestly how did you not notice this when you had turn on its ability.
