I was so fascinated by this in geography class and now I'm itching to visit this place one day🔥

The idea of a blackout of the sun depresses me. I do like hearing of your experience though.

I am a rare example of seasonal depression in that I have it during the summer months! I can’t STAND summer: the heat & long daylight hours keep me hiding behind blackout curtains in air conditioned solitude during June, July & August. I would LOVE to experience Polar Night & know the only problem I’d have is when it ends😐

Yup! I've lived with it for 30 years in Northern Norway lol. But of course the sun is only gone for 2 months here. I really need that yearly break from the sun. It's cozy.

These are the kind of places that give you that chill vibe that everything is alright

You have to be tough I would be depressed . But it is beautiful there

I can't imagine the 1st people to discover this. Can u imagine freaking out bc it stayed dark for months?

Extreme night owl here: I would love it! Bright daylight hurts my eyes, and I swear I cannot think straight until it's dark outside.

I would love it also. You need rain to enjoy the sun. Why not darkness for the same gratitude also 🤷🏽‍♀️💕🕯️

I'd love to hear more about how people adapt. Do many people sleep longer, or do work hours require more of a routine? 💕

Absolutely could, I’d struggle more with midnight sun! I get fed up of summer so quickly. I do enjoy the sun and love a holiday but I’d much rather live in a country that’s like this, just seems so magical. My favourite time of year is winter time. I am on Scotland though so we don’t get a lot of snow but a lot of rain and wind which I love getting home and putting on my candles pjs and a movie ❤ Svalbard I think I’d love to visit if I ever get the chance. I am currently going through process to become cabin crew with to British airways but I don’t think they fly here, would be incredible if They did l. Lots love to you, Christoffer and Grim xx
